Steven Ross Bernard
August 27, 1962 – October 24, 2019
It’s with great sadness that
we announce the passing of our
brother, Steven Ross Bernard,
“Stevie B”. Steve was a lifelong
resident of El Segundo. “Celebration
of Life” will be held
Saturday, the 16th of November
at The Moose Lodge 514 West
Imperial Avenue El Segundo,
California 90245 at 2 pm to
honor him and share stories and
memories. •

Police Reports
Tuesday, Oct. 29
A misdemeanor hit and run report was
taken at 0821 hours from the 600 block
of Richmond Street. Garbage truck versus
building.
A misdemeanor hit and run report was
taken at 0835 hours from Douglas Street
and El Segundo Boulevard. Two vehicles
were involved.
A burglary (residential) report was taken at
0910 hours from the 300 block of Bungalow
Drive. Unknown suspect(s) stole a bicycle
from a carport.
A burglary (vehicle) report was taken at
0935 hours from the 800 block of South
Pacific Coast Highway. Unknown suspect(s)
entered the victim’s vehicle and stole several
credit cards.
An identity theft report was taken at 1436
hours from the 300 block of Richmond Street.
Unknown suspect(s) made an unauthorized
transaction on the victim’s bank account.
A robbery report was taken at 1543 hours
from the 700 block of South Pacific Coast
Highway. Two female suspects pushed a store
employee and fled the scene with perfume
and cologne products worth $2,000-$3000.
Wednesday, Oct. 30
Crime log was not available due to City
online outage.
Thursday, Oct. 31
A domestic violence report was taken at
1232 hours from the 1900 block of East
Mariposa Avenue.
Grand theft (auto) report was taken at 1937
hours from the 900 block of North Pacific
Coast Highway. A Honda Civic was taken.
One male adult was arrested at 1945 hours
from the Downey Police Department for one
outstanding ESPD felony warrant.
One male adult was arrested at 2153 hours
from the 2100 block of East El Segundo
Boulevard for shoplifting, resisting arrest
and drunk in public.
A traffic accident (with injuries) report
was taken from Hughes Way and Imperial
Highway, vehicle versus bicycle.
One male juvenile was detained at 2310
hours from Hughes Way and Imperial Highway.
The suspect took the victim’s bicycle
by force.
Friday, Nov. 1
One male adult was arrested at 0809 hours
from the 600 block of North Pacific Coast
Highway for one Ventura County Sheriff’s
