Margaret Watson, 90, passed
away in her sleep 9/10/18. Margaret
was born 4/2/28 in Glasgow,
Scotland, migrated to the US and
moved to El Segundo almost 50
years ago (1969). She worked
at International Rectifier and
then later at Merle Norman for
20 years. This widow loved to
dance, getting gussied up for the
monthly Britannia club dances
and kept it up until she was 86.
She taught all of us how to enjoy life, keep
active doing what we love, laugh and joke
and have a grand ol’ time. Alzheimer’s robbed
her of her memories but not her personality
nor her love of music!
Margaret joins her parents: James
and Mabel (McPhee) McManus
and her siblings: Charles, James,
Alex, Jemima, Mabel; in heaven.
She leaves behind two of her eight
siblings, Isabel Taylor of Scotland
and Frances Simpkins of the UK,
and many in-law siblings, nieces,
nephews, great nieces and nephews
and lots of friends in her community,
especially on Maryland Street.
Her memorial mass will be help
at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery on Oct. 29th
at noon. Please no flowers for Margaret, give
them to someone you love and consider donating
something extra to the Alzheimer’s walk.
