Police Briefs from page 3
On Friday, June 22 at around 11 a.m.,
El Segundo Police Department officers responded
Highway regarding a report of a trespassing
suspect. Officers located the suspect, who
immediately fled southbound on foot. Officers
suspect in the 700 block of N. Pacific Coast
Highway. The suspect produced a knife and
threatened to harm himself. After over three
hours of negotiating with the suspect, efforts
failed to have him drop the weapon and surrender.
Uncooperative Trespassing

to the 800 block of N. Pacific Coast
gave chase and were able to contain the
Diversionary and less lethal devices
were used to assist officers with taking the
suspect into custody. The suspect was injured
from self-inflicted stab wounds and was
transported to an area hospital, where he is
listed in stable condition. An ESPD officer
sustained a non-life threatening injury while
taking the suspect into custody.
The suspect is a resident of Los Angeles. He
will be charged with suspicion of using force
or violence against a peace officer, resisting
a peace officer, criminal trespassing, and an
outstanding felony warrant for his arrest.
