Parking Problems
Been dining in El Segundo since 1977.
In the last few months we can’t find parking.
Trying to park in the lot for the Cuban
sandwich place is impossible. Not sure if
it’s because of Sausal patrons or what but
the city lot on Richmond is full, streets are
full. The last three times we’ve visited at
about 6:00 p.m., we’ve left because there’s
no parking near the entrance.

Supporting the Children
On behalf of the El Segundo Kiwanis Club
I want to thank everyone who came out and
supported The Fair on Richmond Street. As
you can see from the photos published by the
Herald, this is a great family event enjoyed
by thousands. For the first time, we had a
section dedicated to nonprofits and many
of the school clubs and organizations could
raise funds for themselves. Most importantly,
we raised a significant amount of money
which we will use to support children in
our community. Your El Segundo Kiwanis
Club provides scholarships to high school
seniors, supports the WEB and Link Crew
programs at El Segundo Middle School and
El Segundo High School, along with many
youth based organizations in our town. Your
support directly supports your children. Thanks
again for making this a great event. Many
thanks as well to my fellow Kiwanians who
worked tirelessly to pull this event together.

Herald in Croatia
Christopher Nosko enjoyed his time sailing in Njivice, a small village in Croatia—and of course, he brought a copy of the
Herald along to keep up with El Segundo news.
