being alone--so I would probably do best in a

a home where someone is there most of the

“Did you know that the origin of the name
Berkeley is of Old English and means the
birch tree meadow? I can’t think of a more
perfect name for me because you know how
we dogs love our trees! Yep, I’m Berkeley-

Schnauzer that was also rescued from the
streets of Tijuana. Don’t ask me how I ended

“Hi! They call me Stormy and I guess
that’s because I’ve weathered everything
life has thrown my way and I’m still here
to tell my tale. I’m an adorable, two-year
old, female, purebred Miniature Schnauzer
with natural ears and a docked tail. I was
rescued---albeit not from a shelter, but…
wait for it… the streets of Tijuana! While
another rescue group was there to pick up
strays and they decided to take me along
for the ride. They contacted MSFR and
thankfully MSFR was delighted to add
another petite 14-pound lady to their group
of rescues. While I’m thrilled to be around
other Miniature Schnauzers, I believe it’s
time for me to find my forever home. Some
folks would say I’m a bit ‘needy’ because I
really enjoy spending time with my people.
However, I also get along great with other
dogs. In fact, I get along well with just about
everyone. To be truthful, I really don’t like
up there. I have no idea… but since I’m not
bilingual, I couldn’t get any information
on how to get back home. Another rescue
group actually picked me up as a stray and
contacted MSFR, who were kind enough to
take me in, clean me up and find me a foster
home. If I have to say so myself, they sure
did an excellent job on my makeover which
now shows my best attributes--natural ears,
a docked tail and a most striking coat. Not
a bad outcome for this 18-pound package
of personality. I’m considered outgoing and
friendly, but honestly I just love everyone--
people, dogs…and I would be the best addition
to your family that you could ever make.”

“Hello there. My name is Paisley and I
think they named me that because of my
coat. You see, it’s various shades of gray,
black and white with highlights of the same
colors. Since I’m a Yorkie/Poodle mix, the
colors are swirled and curled just like a
paisley pattern. I’m a three-year-old gal
whose previous owners surrendered me to an
LA county shelter without any explanation.
I have no idea why they no longer wanted
me as part of their family because I was a
very good girl. Maybe they’re moving and
couldn’t take me or maybe they just stopped
loving me, but I have to admit it left me a bit
heartbroken. Consequently, I’m a little shy
and a tad timid--but on the plus side, I’m
also quiet and very loving. At eight pounds,
it’s easy to pick me up and take me with
you wherever you go and I would love to
be your constant companion and a member
of your family.”
