with a natural tail and a stunning black and
silver coat. At 14 pounds, I’m smaller than
my brother. Compared to him, I’m the shy
and reserved one. I get along fine with other
dogs and I’m really friendly. Once I reach
my grown-up weight of 16 pounds, I think
I’ll be fine. I would love to find a home that
would take both my brother and me. If that’s
impossible, I definitely need a home with
another doggie pal to keep me company.”

“Well, I guess you’ve already met my
brother Chip, so that would make me Dale.
Since I’m the larger and adventurous one,
I wanted to do some investigating in our
neighborhood. We started out fine, but then
I got turned around and couldn’t find my
way home. The next thing I knew, both of
us were in an LA County shelter and being
called strays. I started to worry because my
brother was supposed to get adopted, but
thankfully the adopter never showed. So we
both got rescued. I’ve been told that I’m a
Miniature Schnauzer mix, but no one can
figure out what the mix is. With my natural
tail and beautiful salt and pepper coat, I look
just like any other extremely handsome.
9-month-old, male Miniature Schnauzer. I’m
currently 17 pounds, but when fully grown I
could be a whopping 20 pounds. I admit that

We are looking for volunteers to help with
our pet adoption fairs which are held every

from noon to 3: 30 p.m. If you are interested
in volunteering and can commit to at least

Miniature Schnauzers & Friends rescues at
the adoption fair or check out our website,

about a particular dog’s availability, you can
email us at info@msfr.org. Schnauzers! Bet
you can’t adopt just one.
“Hi, I’m Chip of Chip and Dale. Not
the chipmunks, but the 9-month old, male
Miniature Schnauzer mix dogs whose mother
had a great sense of humor. My brother
Dale and I decided to do some exploring,
but we became lost and ended up at an LA
County shelter where they called us strays.
I’m not sure what that is, but I sure didn’t
like being called that. I got really nervous
when I thought I had found a home and
would have to leave my brother, but then
my potential adopter never appeared. Apparently,
they changed their minds…so the
MSFR folks were able to rescue both of us.
People say that I’m a real looker and it’s
probably because I’m mostly Schnauzer,
I need some work on obedience training as
well as a little Housebreaking 101, but I’m
pretty confident that I’ll exceed at both in
no time. I get along great with dogs and am
a pretty playful guy. I would be ecstatic to
find a family that would take my brother and
me. If that’s not doable, I must find a home
that has a doggie pal to show me the ropes.”
If you’re interested in Dale, please email
info@msfr.org for more information.
“Hello, my name is LouLou and I could
be the treasure you’re looking for. If a sweet,
little, female Chihuahua mix would be the
perfect addition to your life, I’m your gal.
I’m only 3 years old and weigh a mere 10
pounds, so I’m easily transportable to share
in all of the things you love to do. I’m very
obedient and eager to please. So if you want
to go out looking for adventures or spend a
quiet evening at home with me being a loving
lap dog, I’m ready, willing and loyal! In
addition to having a great personality, I’m
quite a great-looking lady with my taffycolored
coat and expressive brown eyes that
will look up at you adoringly. I’m currently
being fostered with three other Chihuahuas,
so obviously I am sociable with other dogs
as well as people.”

Congratulations to Flora and her new family!
Congratulations to our little Flora and
her new family! Her folks recently lost their
18-year-old, female Miniature Schnauzer
and were looking to find a friend for their
11-year-old male named Walter. Coincidently,
Walter is also a Miniature Schnauzer and
a rescue! Flora, now named Addie, hit the
lottery with this family. Not only does she
now have a brother, but also her folks are
retired and are very devoted to their furry
kids. We had a feeling when Addie, who
isn’t one to give her stamp of approval to
everyone, showered her new family with
plenty of kisses and cuddles. Addie and her
family are living in Camarillo and we wish
all of them a world of happiness and many
fun memories. •
If you see a dog with a YELLOW RIBBON
or something yellow on the leash, this is a
dog who needs some space. Please do
not approach this dog with your dog. Please
maintain distance or give this dog and his/her
person time to move out of your way.
There are many reasons why
a dog may need space:
HEALTH ISSUES
IN TRAINING
BEING REHABILITATED
SCARED OR REACTIVE AROUND OTHER DOGS
Those of us who own these dogs
appreciate your help and respect!
Saving one animal won’t
change the world, but
the world will surely change
for that animal.
