and rub her head. She will then follow you
around to get more pets and cuddles. Ringo
is a little more cautious about new people, but
you can easily earn you way into his good
graces through his tummy – he loves treats
especially shredded chicken. These two are
remarkably close and spend their days napping
together, grooming one another, playing
together and just loving each other. They are
also very playful and will chase a laser around
the living room or show off their jumping
skills to catch a feather wand.
These cats and kittens are available for
adoption through Kitten Rescue, one of the
largest cat rescue groups in Southern California.
All our kitties are spayed/neutered,
microchipped, tested for FeLV and FIV,
dewormed and current on their vaccinations.
Temporarily, adoption events are suspended.
For additional information and to see these
or our other kittens and cats, please check
our website www.kittenrescue.org or email
us at mail@kittenrescue.org.
With our city and state shut down, we
are faced with the delicate balance to protect
our fellow humans from the spread of
COVID-19, while continuing our mission of
saving the most vulnerable victims of the
homeless cat crisis. We know that these are
hard times for everyone. If you can give a
little, it will go a long way. They are still
counting on us during these difficult times.
Your tax-deductible donations for the rescue
and care of our cats and kittens can be made
through our website or by sending a check
payable to Kitten Rescue, 914 Westwood

Purrrfect Companions
Bring joy into your home this holiday by
adopting a” pet without a partner”. If you
are unable to adopt at this time, consider
fostering or donating to support the foster
program. Along with spay and neutering,
if just 2% of the pet-owning households in
America fostered one pet a year, we could
stop euthanizing healthy pets in shelters.
Andy is a playful and cuddly kitten who will
purr in your lap for hours once comfortable.
She loves being swaddled like a baby with
her sister, Darla. Andy is extremely gentle
when playing with your toes. However, when
startled Andy will hiss because she is a bit
of a scaredy cat. She gets along well with
gentle dogs, children and other cats. Ultimately
Andy loves people and is comfortable meeting
new people.
Andy’s sister, Darla, is extremely affectionate
and loves to snuggle with people, her sister,
and most of all, both at once! She is outgoing
and adventurous, while always seeking your
cuddles and approval. Darla loves to lick your
face, press noses, and lay all over you. She is
quite active and loves to chase laser pointers,
feathers, and balls. Darla is extremely comfortable
with dogs, cats, and gentle children.
She is closely bonded with her sister, Andy.
If these two are not in eyesight, they become
worried and will meow until reunited. Darla
is overall quite quiet, but will be vocal when
asking for food, warmth, and cuddles.
Chewy was rescued from a colony with
his three sisters at around three months old.
Of all his siblings, Chewy was the quickest
to be socialized and took to getting love and
cuddles from his foster daddy. He is a sweet
and loving baby that enjoys being cradled and
given attention. Chewy will make a wonderful
addition to any home. He gets along well with
his siblings and loves cuddling with the older
cats in the home. This precious boy would
likely do best in a home with another buddy
if not adopted with one of his siblings.
If you are looking for a buddy who is bursting
with playful energy, but chill enough to
snuggle up with you while you lounge, Rupert
is your man! Rupert is extremely open,
friendly, and loves everybody. He snuggles up
with you while you work or relax, employing
himself as your professional lap warmer so you
are always nice and toasty. This sweetheart
is a cuddle-bug with kitten energy and pep!
Rupert has the whole work-play balance thing
figured out. Now he is looking for a family
with whom he can share his finely honed cat
expertise! Rupert needs to be adopted with
another kitten or to a family that already has a
young or active cat, he cannot be a single cat.
Sumac is a gentle, sweet young kitty who
purrs to the touch and loves to get attention
from her people. She likes to engage with her
buddies for a romp through the play tunnel
or a wrestling tumble across the floor. She is
observant and curious, taking it all in from the
top of her cat tree. As a gentle little friend
who can be your hug buddy, Sumac could be
the match you have been waiting for! Sumac
is a medium energy teen who loves to play
with her friends, but is only an occasional
initiator, often preferring quality time with her
buddies over play. Sumac would be best paired
with one of her siblings, Basil, Valentino, or
Oregano, rather than an unfamiliar adult cat.
Ringo and Starr are quite the lovable pair of
bonded siblings. Starr loves cuddles and warms
up to people quickly if they give her attention

Tanya (now Eloise) is home!
We had our first adoption from our “Clear
the Shelter” #GivingTuesday project. Beautiful
four-year-old Siamese Eloise, fostered by
@pamallison, is in her forever home with
@monet_weir. We are so happy for them
both! Tanya has been through a lot recently.
First, becoming adjusted to shelter life, then
being part of the “clear the shelter” caravan
and finally settling into a foster home.
Nothing brings us more joy than to see
our kitties get their wonderful forever home.
