Kitty
you, Maddie loves to sleep on the bed with
you all night, tucked in between your feet.
She loves her brother, Vindaloo. If they get
separated, Maddie will call out for her brother
until she finds him. Maddie is a mellow girl
who is full of love.
Vindaloo, Vinny for short, is very friendly
and loving. He has a lot to say especially
when he wants attention and love. Vinny gets
along with cats of all ages. He is not sure if
he will along with dogs only because he has
never met one! Vinny loves to cuddle with
his sister (Madras) and people. His purr is so
loud because he is so happy to snuggle with
you and take a nap on your chest.
These cats and kittens are available for
adoption through Kitten Rescue, one of the
largest cat rescue groups in Southern California.
All our kitties are spayed/neutered,
microchipped, tested for FeLV and FIV,
dewormed and current on their vaccinations.
Temporarily, adoption events are suspended.
For additional information and to see these or
our other kittens and cats, please check our
website www.kittenrescue.org or email us at

With our city and state shut down, we are
faced with the delicate balance to protect our
fellow humans from the spread of COVID-19,
while continuing our mission of saving the
most vulnerable victims of the homeless cat
crisis. We know that these are hard times for
everyone. If you can give a little, it will go a
long way. They are still counting on us during
Maddie
these difficult times. Your tax-deductible
donations for the rescue and care of our
cats and kittens can be made through our
website or by sending a check payable to

If you remember Tricia Helfer from the TV
series Battlestar Galactica, she has a special
message for you on the Kitten Rescue Facebook
page about “Giving Tuesday”.
Saving one animal won’t change the
world, but the world will surely change for
that animal. •
Purrrfect Companions
“Kitten season” is here and there is a great
need for foster parents. Whether you care for
one or many, once or frequently, Kitten Rescue
would love for you to become a foster parent.
They offer training, guidance, medical care (if
needed) and lots of moral support. Fostering
brings you the rich reward of knowing you
personally saved this kitty’s life in providing a
safe, loving home while waiting for adoption.

If just 2% of the pet-owning households in
America fostered one pet a year, we could stop
euthanizing healthy pets in shelters.
Here are a few of the precious cats and
kittens waiting for their fur-ever homes.
Yondu is simply adorable kitten with the
sweetest personality. He is a little explorer who
likes to climb on and over things to satisfy
his curiosity. Yondu is playful with his foster
siblings and is very affectionate with humans.
This confident little boy loves to meet new
people that will play and cuddle with him.
Yondu and his foster siblings wrestle and
chase one another and play with their cat toys.
After a hard play session, they like to curl
up on a warm lap. Yondu must be adopted
with one of his foster siblings or into a home
with another young kitten, that he can play
and socialize with.
Sophie was born to cuddle. With her stocky
little legs and enormous eyes, she is cute
incarnate. Got your hands full? No problem:
she’s happy to put herself onto your lap, or
stomach, or neck! Her second biggest joy: a
good drink of cold water. Sophie will take
her time savoring it like a fine wine, getting
so relaxed she has even been known to fall
asleep mid drink. Her calm demeanor and
gentle nature make her an ideal companion
for anyone looking for a lifetime of love.
Sophie must be adopted with another kitten,
preferably one of her siblings: Lainey, Penny,
Kingsley, or Teddy.
Kingsley is the quiet riot. An expert in
stealth and the art of pouncing, his favorite
pastimes include stalking unsuspecting toys
and racing with his littermates. But if his
games are interrupted by a hand scooping
him up for cuddles, Kingsley instantly forgets
he was ever playing at all. He will gaze up
lovingly into your eyes, relaxed and content
to be held as he collects his tummy rubs and
kisses. Social, playful, and cuddly, Kingsley is
full of joy. At his young age, Kingsley need
a young feline playmate in his home.
Kitty is an easy-going gal looking for a
home to call her own. She enjoys getting
pets, cuddling in your lap and has zany moments
when she loves to have toys to play
with. Unlike some kitties, brushing does not
bother Kitty if you follow up with a treat
when you are done. She is a good match for
someone who does not mind if she jumps into
bed because Kitty likes to sleep on the bed
with you. She is particularly good with older
children who know the right way to pet a cat.
While she has lived peacefully with other cats,
Kitty would prefer to be an only kitty. This
beautiful gal has an uncertain FIV status; she
is positive on some tests and negative on others.
We suspect that this is because someone
vaccinated her in the past. Whether Kitty has
FIV or not, she is currently healthy, playful
and eagerly waiting for her forever home.
Madras, Maddie for short, is a sweet
Russian Blue kitten. She started off super
shy, but now is a little lover! She loves all
kitties and especially love getting bathed by
her foster brother. Once she gets to know

Happy Tails
Summer is always the most challenging
time of the year for us. Our foster homes,
Sanctuary and Nursery are at capacity, and the
calls for help keep coming in. The pandemic
has only compounded these challenges.
We are being hit hard by the mounting vet
bills and cost of day-to-day operations to keep
up with the demand of our increased intake,
which is up by 40%. Many of the cats and
kittens that we are saving from the streets
are sick or injured. Kittens need our help,
and that means we need your help.
Please help us reach our goal of $30,000.00
to get us through the Cat Days of Summer,
so that we can save more kitties in need.
Thank you to everyone who has donated so
far; to date, we’ve raised 10% of our goal.
And if you are considering adoption, please
look at one of the many Kitten Rescue cats
and kittens waiting to meet you.
When you adopt a “pet without a partner”,
you will forever make a difference in their
life and they are sure to make a difference
in yours. •
