“Let me introduce myself. My name is
Blanca and shortly before the 4th of July, I
decided I needed to find a place to feel safe
during the holiday. While I was scouting for
comfy location, I got turned around and couldn’t
find my way home. That is how I ended up at
an LA County shelter as a stray. I didn’t have
a collar, tags or microchip… so there was no
way to contact my previous owner. Luckily,
I had a potential adopter that was supposed
to come for me. Sadly, they never did. The
folks at MSFR just couldn’t leave an adorable
5-year-old, female Miniature Schnauzer at the
shelter, so they rescued me. They could tell that
I have had numerous litters, so the first thing
on the list was a little neutering procedure to
put an end to that. Don’t ask me how I managed
to keep my figure and my weight -- a
mere 12 pounds -- with all of those litters, but
I have. I’ve also got a gorgeous light silver

our pet adoption fairs which are held every
Saturday at the Petco located at 537 N.
Pacific Coast Hwy., Redondo Beach 90277,
from noon to 3: 30 p.m. If you are interested
in volunteering and can commit to at least
coat and huge, dark eyes. I’m very sweet and
I enjoy socially interacting with other dogs,
so I’d be the perfect addition to any family.

“If you are looking for a cute, little friendly
guy with a comical personality, look no
further. Just come to our adoption fair and
ask for me – Archie. On July 4,, my brother
and I were running for our lives. There were
bombs bursting in air, things popping and
whistling and crackling all around us. We
were so scared that we just kept on running
and running…until we got lost and ended
up at an LA area shelter the next day. My
brother got adopted almost immediately, but
they couldn’t care for two of us and they left
me behind. When the MSFR folks saw my
shelter picture with one ear up, one ear down
looking scruffily adorable, they had to rescue
me. I’m a purebred Miniature Schnauzer that
is only 2 years old, so I still have a lot of
time to provide adventures and comic relief
to my forever family. Now that I’ve been sort
of groomed, I’m looking pretty dapper and
we discovered that I have b Archie ig, beautiful bat Blanca
Saving one animal won’t change the world, but the world will surely change for that animal.
