treats right from the back of your hand. His
sweet purr sounds similar to a pigeon cooing.
Mango was found in a garage with five
other kittens and two mama cats. We do not
know which mama cat he belonged to, as
they were co-parenting and both nursing all
the kittens. Mango loved attention from the
beginning and follows the humans around
the house. He loves roughhousing with his
siblings and would most likely do well with
other cats. This sweet little boy is inquisitive
and likes to explore the house. He will be a
wonderful addition to your family.
These cats and kittens are available for
adoption through Kitten Rescue, one of the
largest cat rescue groups in Southern California.
All our kitties are spayed/neutered,
microchipped, tested for FeLV and FIV,
dewormed and current on their vaccinations.
For additional information and to see these
or our other kittens and cats, please check
our website www.kittenrescue.org.
Our Adoption Center is temporarily closed.
In the meantime, we are still conducting
contactless adoptions using all the online
tools at our disposal. To virtually browse our
adoptable cats, please visit our Adoption Gallery
where you can find photos and profiles
of all the cats and kittens we have up for
adoption from our network of foster homes
and from the Sanctuary. At the end of each
cat’s profile is a link to the email address of
the foster parent or adoption counselor, and
you may reach out directly with questions or
to arrange a virtual meeting.
The donations and support we receive from
individuals like you, who share our love
and commitment to helping cats and kittens
in Los Angeles, are the sole reason we are
able to do what we do. We are grateful for
your financial help. By making even a small
donation today, you can touch the lives of the
many deserving, wonderful animals in our
care. There are many ways you can donate
and help, and every dollar means so much.

Purrrfect Companions
Many of the teenage and adult cats we rescue
have been abandoned, neglected, abused,
or dumped at the shelter and find themselves
in a terrifying, lonely new world. They have
withstood hunger, pain, illness and fear to
overcome the odds and survive. They are
supremely deserving and appreciative of a
second chance at life. When you adopt, you
save a life… and in turn enrich your own.
Kylin is a big girl with a huge heart and
loads of curiosity. No one told her that cats
have a reputation for being shy and aloof…
she is neither. She is a friendly girl who
wants to be your new best friend and constant
companion. Kylin runs to the door to
greet her foster mom and is always in a good
mood. She is a purr machine who loves to be
petted and to hang out. Currently, she lives
with other cats, but would probably be best
as an only cat or paired with a beta kitty…
she likes to have most of the attention. A
Kitten Rescue volunteer pulled Kylin from
a high kill shelter the day she was set to be
euthanized. Thank goodness because the world
needs more like Kylin.
Lassen, Shasta and their siblings are named
after mountains (Shasta, Helens, Lassen, Baker,
Rainier). Lassen is a comical, sweet, playful
kitten – typical boy kitten! He is full of energy
and loves to greet his foster mom with a cry
of hello! He enjoys being held and loved on
and is quick to purr. His sister Shasta is a
petite tortie who is the runt of their litter.
Shasta has a gorgeous tortoiseshell coloring.
Her personality is playful and sweet. She often
gives her foster mom the lovey-eyes! Two of
the siblings have been adopted. Their foster
mom is available to ask questions and for you
to meet these kittens. They must be adopted
with a sibling or with another kitten; they
cannot be adopted as single kittens.
Ash is very sweet and active. He typically
enjoys being commingled with other cats once
he gets used to them. But he can be a solo cat
as well. Ash loves to play with wand toys and
will entertain you for hours. He is a “great
goalie” catching toys in the air and trapping
them on the ground. He has not been around
children or dogs. He loves to be pet and lick
