died 3 May 2021 at Centinela
Hospital, Inglewood. Born 11
June 1929 in Pennock, Kandiyohi,
Minnesota to Godtfred
and Minnie (Ellingson)
Lien. Bowling, billiards, and
horse racing aficionado. Preceded
in death by wife Geraldine.
Survived by sons Dennis Lien
(El Segundo, California), Russell
Lien (Champlin, Minnesota);
daughter Judy Strickland (Cumberland,
Wisconsin); sister Rosalie
Deresch (Auburn, Washington). •

An identity theft report was taken at 0701
hours from the 600 block of West Grand Avenue.
Unknown suspect(s) made a fraudulent
withdrawal from the victim’s account.
A violation of civil rights report was taken
at 1437 hours from the 200 block of Main
Street. Unknown suspect(s) made threats to
the victim.
One male adult was arrested at 1708 hours
from LAPD 77th Division for one ESPD
felony warrant.
Traffic accident (with injuries) occurred at
1807 hours from the 2400 block of East El
Segundo Boulevard, vehicle versus vehicle.
A grand theft report was taken at 2141
hours from the 500 block of North Pacific
Coast Highway. The suspect stole the victim’s
cell phone.
An online petty theft report was taken at
0446 hours from the 1000 block of East
Imperial Avenue. Unknown suspect(s) stole
the victim’s bicycles.
An online grand theft report was taken
at 0447 hours from the 1000 block of East
Imperial Avenue. Unknown suspect(s) stole
the victim’s property from his unlocked vehicle.
Tuesday, May 4th
One male adult was detained at 0949
hours from Franklin Avenue and Main Street
and transported to Harbor UCLA Exodus
Medical Center for a 72-hour psychiatric
evaluation.
One male adult was detained at 1126
hours from the 700 block of North Pacific
Coast Highway and transported to Marina
Del Rey Hospital for a 72-hour psychiatric
evaluation.
A found property report was taken at 1112
hours from the 700 block of North Pacific
Coast Highway. Found was a purse.
A violation of a court order report was taken
at 1226 hours from 300 block of Main Street.
Traffic accident (no injuries) occurred at
1331 hours from Holly Avenue and Main
Street, vehicle versus vehicle.
A theft by false pretenses report was taken
2123 hours from the 700 block of Bayonne
Street. The suspect tricked the victim into
purchasing gift cards.
One male adult was arrested at 2228 hours
from El Segundo Boulevard and La Cienega
Boulevard for misdemeanor DUI with a BAC
of .08% or above.
An online identity theft report was taken
at 0425 hours from the 900 block of North
Sepulveda Boulevard. Unknown suspect(s)
made fraudulent purchases with the victim’s
credit cards.
An online lost property report was taken
at 0426 hours from Pacific Coast Highway
and Mariposa Avenue. An IPhone was lost.
Wednesday, May 5th
One male adult was arrested at 1226 hours
from Douglas Street and Park Place for
resisting arrest and one outstanding felony
warrant out of Los Angeles County Probation.
One male adult was detained at 1436 hours
from 2000 block East Mariposa Avenue and
transported to Harbor Exodus Medical center
for a 72- hour psychiatric evaluation.
An exhibit a firearm report was taken at
1733 hours from Mariposa Avenue and Virginia
Street. The suspect showed his firearm
to the victim.
A vandalism report was taken at 1842
hours from the 800 block of South Pacific
Coast Highway. Unknown suspect(s) slashed
two of the victim’s vehicle tires.
One male adult was arrested at 0025 hours
from Continental Boulevard and Mariposa
Avenue for two LBPD misdemeanor warrants.
He was given a citation and released
out in the field.
One male adult was arrested at 0107 hours
from the 100 block of East Grand Avenue
for one CHP misdemeanor warrant.
One male was arrested at 0204 hours from
the 200 block of North Pacific Coast Highway
for possession of a controlled substance and
two LAPD misdemeanor warrants.
An online grand theft report was taken
at 0435 hours from the 800 block of Penn
Street. Unknown suspect(s) stole the catalytic
converter from the victim’s vehicle.
Thursday, May 6th
A burglary (vehicle) report was taken at
0956 hours from the 700 block of South
Pacific Coast Highway. Unknown suspect(s)
stole power tools and computer products from
the victim’s vehicle. •
Traffic accident (no injuries) occurred at
1206 hours from Grand Avenue and Pacific
Coast Highway, vehicle versus center median.
A violation of a domestic violence court
order and a felony vandalism report was
taken at 1222 hours from the 100 block of
Eucalyptus Drive.
One male adult was arrested at 0044 hours
from the 1900 block of East Mariposa Avenue
for residential burglary.
