Purrrfect Companions
Farkle (back center) and family Calypso
A new year, a new start … Begin your year
with a special new love when you adopt one
of these precious kitties.
Many of the teenage and adult cats we
rescue have been abandoned, neglected or
dumped at the shelter and find themselves
in a terrifying, lonely new world. They are
supremely deserving — and appreciative —
of a second chance at life.
Calpyso is a very affectionate kitty who
loves to get attention. This girl is settling into
the Kitten Rescue Sanctuary groove and is
adapting to all the cats, but we suspect she
would be happy enough as a solo kitty as
well. Calypso is a curious kitty who enjoys
investigating her surroundings and also enjoys
helping the caretakers with tasks like changing
out cat beds and sweeping. Her current
favorite toy is a cat tunnel that she enjoys
leaping in and out of frequently. Calypso
can’t wait for her forever home!
Charlotte came to rescue when she and
her siblings were dumped in a box outside
of our sanctuary. They were terrified when
we found them, but they have turned out
to be the nicest and most awesome kitties.
Charlotte would be happy to be placed with
one of her siblings, but she would also be
just as happy to be an only kitty. Charlotte
likes getting attention and playing with toys
around the sanctuary. She has a floofy tail
and beautiful markings!
Vanilla Bean is an outgoing and affectionate
girl. This rare beauty is very quiet. She will
seek attention and affection from you, hoping
to become your favorite friend and confidant.
Vanilla Bean is so easygoing that she would
be a great first cat. She gets along well with
other cats and kittens. She can be adopted by
herself if her new family will be home a lot;
she gets lonely by herself. Or Vanilla Bean
would be happy to have another cat in her
new home so she would have company. This
sweet girl hasn’t been tested with dogs, but
she did remain calm and non-reactive when
she saw the two calm dogs in her foster home.
Bruce is a pretty cool kitty who was
returned to Kitten Rescue when his adopter
had some life changes. Though he is social
with other cats, Bruce finds the number of
cats at the sanctuary a bit much, though he
is adjusting. He would love a home with a
human with whom he could sit on the sofa
and watch TV -- someone laidback. We’re
told that one of Bruce’s favorite places to
relax used to be the back of the sofa…so
if you have a comfy sofa, this may be the

Callie
Charlotte
purr-fect boy for you!
Farkle is a curious fluffball of energy. He
purrs when you just look at him, loves his
humans and loves to spend time with humans
and dogs while talking their ear off. He is
very high-energy and possibly has some
dwarfism — he is very short compared to
his siblings. He will need to be in a house
with older children who understand kittens
and their antics. A KR volunteer rescued
Farkle from a shelter. His history is unknown
before seven weeks old. Being a stray kitten,
Farkle can be skittish and startles easily at
times. He needs to be adopted with a bonded
sibling. He pairs well with all of his siblings
— Topanga, Riley or Corey. This is a group
of expert climbers, jumpers and escape artists.
Some cat experience would be good
with this group.
Callie is a very sweet girl and a loving kitty
who was rescued from a coyote-ridden area
by a racetrack worker. She is looking for a
loving home that would include at least one
of her brothers, Bonzo, Jimmy or JP. Callie
loves to cuddle, eat, explore and most of all
play and nap with her siblings!
JP is a funny kitten who will answer to
you when you talk to him. Rescued with his
sister and brothers, he would love a home
with one of them. JP is a very loving and
playful kitty. You will love his playful antics
and cuddly nature.
These cats and kittens are available for adoption
through Kitten Rescue, one of the largest
cat rescue groups in Southern California. All
our kitties are spayed/neutered, microchipped,
tested for FeLV and FIV, dewormed and current
on their vaccinations. For additional information
