With help from our friends at Yellow Brick Road, Glory has found a new home and family. Goodness all around!
Congratulations to Glory and her new family.
Good things come to those who wait was
definitely true for this super sweet little gal. No
one could understand why it took a bit for her
to find her family. It can be rough when you’re
a Poodle mix in a Schnauzer rescue. Now we
all know that it was kismet thanks to some
help from our friends--especially Charlotte--at
Yellow Brick Road Doggie Playcare. Glory and
her new mom met at Yellow Brick Road where
Glory was being boarded. They had a great
visit and it only took a couple more for her to
realize that since Glory already had a place in
her heart, it only made sense to give a place in
her home. The family had previously owned
Boxers and a Pit Bull mix, so this lovable lady
is their first smaller dog. She is now living in
El Segundo and has happily found her forever
family. Special thanks to our friends at Yellow
Brick Road for helping with this Happy Tails! •

“My given name is Maya, but a lot of folks
call me Mama Maya because I have three
pups! My previous owners never thought
to have me spayed and when the inevitable
happened, well… let’s just say a family of
four adorable dogs was not in their plans.
They decided to relinquish my babies and
me to an LA County shelter where the great
folks at MSFR opened their hearts and home
to us. I’ve been told that I’m an extremely
sweet girl and I have great social manners.
We are looking for volunteers to help with
our pet adoption fairs which are held every
Saturday at the Petco located at 537 N. Pacific
Coast Highway Redondo Beach 90277,
from noon-3: 30 p.m. If you are interested
in volunteering and can commit to at least
one Saturday a month, please contact us at
info@msfr.org. You can also visit all of our
Miniature Schnauzers & Friends rescues at
the adoption fair or check out our website,
www.msfr.org. If you have any questions
about a particular dog’s availability, you can
email us at info@msfr.org. Schnauzers! Bet
you can’t adopt just one.
“Hello, I’d like to introduce myself. My
name is Ross and I’m a three-year old,
male, purebred Miniature Schnauzer who is
looking for a forever family to share my life.
I’m not quite sure how I ended up homeless
and living on the streets, but apparently from
the pictures I’ve seen it had to have been a
while. I was rescued from an LA Country
shelter where I, as a stray, had been residing
with the rest of the street kids. I was such a
smelly, matted mess that my breed was totally
unrecognizable until Grooming Gives Hope
stepped in and worked their magic. Who
would have ever guessed that under that mess
a handsome, purebred Miniature Schnauzer
was hiding? Certainly not those that passed
me up! I’m really quite the looker at only 19
pounds with my natural ears and a natural
tail. I get along well with other dogs and
would be a great addition to your family.”

I get along well with other dogs and at only
two years of age, I’m still a pretty playful
pup who enjoys a good romp with friends.
I’m a svelte, 16-pound, purebred Miniature
Schnauzer with a sweet face, natural ears and
a plumy natural tail. I just know that once
you see me, you won’t be able to walk away
and leave someone who could bring so much
joy to your life. If you don’t believe me, just
come to adoptions and see for yourself!”

“They call me Alma and I think it’s because
of the meaning of my name. In Latin, it means
kind and loving and that’s definitely who I am.
Well, actually I’m also a 4.5-year-old, female
Miniature Schnauzer mix who was rescued
from an LA County shelter after my previous
owners surrendered me. Can you believe that
they adopted me from the shelter when I was
only two months old and now, over four years
later, they relinquished me because they are
moving to a place that doesn’t allow dogs? I
guess in hindsight I wasn’t all that important
to them because they never had me spayed,
and let’s just say that the environment left
me a bit nervous. I think I would like my
forever family to be an adult-only home that’s
low-key and peaceful. I may be 18 pounds,
but I’m a sleek, longer-bodied girl who could
possibly have some ‘doxie’ in my pedigree.
I get along really well with other dogs--so if
you have one and are looking for a gal-pal
for your pooch, or just someone to share your
life, I’m the one for you.”
