I’m a cute four-year old purebred male Miniature Schnauzer. One night, I was out for a walk when I got lost and darn if I could find my way back home. Sure enough I ended up at an LA county We are looking for volunteers to help with our pet adoption fairs that are held every Saturday at the Petco located at 537 N. Bet you can’t adopt just one! “They call me Glory and I certainly am in mine now that I’ve been rescued. I kept hearing about the impending Fourth of July fireworks, so I thought I’d find a place to hide before they started. Little did I know that so many houses looked like mine and therein lies the reason for my getting lost. I wandered around and eventually ended up at an LA county shelter. They called me a stray, but I’m really a three-year old female Schnoodle--Schnauzer/Poodle mix--who is just a tiny 14 pounds. When I arrived, I must admit I was a real mess--filthy, dark gray, matted dreadlocks is the only way to describe my coat. After a bath and something called a grooming, even I didn’t recognize me. Who was this beautiful gal with the glistening white coat and huge, dark eyes? I even had someone who was going to adopt me… but then sadly, they didn’t show up to take me home. However, it was really fortuitous shelter as a stray, but since I had a microchip I was pretty confident I’d be home soon. Not so, since the chip was never registered by my previous owners. Consequently, I had to wait--and wait and wait--while they tried to locate my owner, but to no avail. Since I was a matted mess when I arrived at the shelter, no one had any idea how good-looking I was until I was rescued and got groomed. I’ve got a shiny black coat, cropped ears, the most expressive eyes and a docked tail, so I’m really quite stunning. As far as my personality… well, I’m 18 pounds of fun and friendly and just looking for my forever family to love.” If you’re interested in Linc, please email info@msfr.org for more information. “Hello, my name is Bonsai and I’m an adorable eight-year old female Chihuahua. I know I would be a perfect addition to any family--especially yours. I have beautiful brown eyes that contrast nicely with my creamcolored coat and the sweetest personality. I love kids, am friendly with strangers and I’m just as happy to curl up on your lap and give kisses as I am to go for a brisk walk. Even though I would prefer to be an only dog, I get along well with dogs 10 times my size. Since I am no longer a puppy, eight years old is considered middle-aged for Chihuahuas. You don’t have to worry about me chewing up your shoes or your furniture, but I still have many more years of love and companionship to share. At approximately six pounds, I am the perfect size to take traveling--even in a purse. Once you meet me, I’m sure you’ll be charmed by my sweet smile and a tail that never stops wagging!” Bonsai can be seen by appointment at Yellow Brick Road Doggie Playcare in El Segundo.
