purring. Lady Mary would love to be paired
up with another young cat with lots of energy
to burn or one that might need some exercise.
Rufus is a dapper, genteel creature who was
rescued off the streets. He is the quintessential
gentle tom cat: big cheeks and sweet demeanor
-- and he gets along great with other cats so
long as they are nice to him. Mostly what he
wants is to follow you around for pets and
head bonks. However, life on the streets did
instill in him a profound dislike of dogs, and
he is extremely aggressive with them. With
friendly cats, people, children and/or kittens,
Rufus is an absolute delight and a perfect

gentleman. He is both talkative and playful,
and loves being the center of attention. Rufus
is FIV positive, another likely legacy of life
on the streets. Fortunately, FIV is not casually
transmissible between cats. It requires a deep
bite wound that is rather unheard of in a home
setting and certainly not with a gentle love like
Rufus. There’s a fair amount of bad, superficial
information floating around the Internet about
FIV and the veterinary community typically
takes an extremely risk-averse approach to it
as it’s simpler than explaining the nuances to
their clients. If you’re interested in meeting

Peanut Butter is a dreamboat. He is very
playful and fun, but also loves to get in your
lap and nuzzle you with his mighty purrs. He
loves a belly rub, and he loves to wrestle with
his brother and sister. He’s curious about everything
new and he’s a very smart boy. He has
a big appetite. Peanut Butter will make some
lucky adopter very happy…we hope it’s you!
Chickadee is a huge love bug and a fuzzy
ball of puff. He is such a sweet snuggler and has
beautiful eyes and fur. He loves to run and play
and is always curious about what you’re doing.
He’ll follow you around like a puppy and would
love to become a special part of your family.
Clementine is a sweet, funny, clever, happy
little kitten. She is very outgoing and cuddly
and loves people, dogs and humans alike. She
hasn’t been around children, but she is young
and very gentle. We don’t imagine she would
have any problem adjusting. She will be the
love of some lucky family’s life.
Peanut Butter, Chickadee and Clementine are
too young to be adopted as solo kittens, but
they would love to be adopted with one (or
both) of their siblings, or into your family if
you already have a kitty for one of them to join.
Dahlia just loves belly rubs. She loves
them so much that she is likely to give you a
dirty look when you stop. Dahlia is a mellow,
relaxed, gentle and quiet kitten who always
manages to find the softest and darkest place
to nap in the whole house. She spends most
of her day napping, though she’s not above
running around the house with other cats, or
even sneaking up and sniffing the dog when
the fancy strikes her. She gets along well with
her cat friends and with a small relaxed dog
at her foster home. Because she’s a shy girl,
she would likely thrive in a household where
she can get most of the attention all to herself.
Lady Mary, daughter to the Earl of Grantham
and heiress to Downton Abbey, is stoic,
elegant and a bit of a handful. Mary is the
perfect aristocrat and epitome of elegance,
grace and style. She has raven black fur, high
cheekbones, and the perfect amount of white
highlights! With thoughtful handling and continued
socialization, Lady Mary will reward
you with her attention and affection. She may
seem prickly and even a little hissy at first,
but her fear quickly melts away when she
becomes comfortable. Lady Mary loves other
