With our city and state shut down, we are
faced with the delicate balance to protect our
fellow humans from the spread of COVID-19,
while continuing our mission of saving the
most vulnerable victims of the homeless cat
crisis. We know that these are hard times
for everyone. If you can give a little, it will
go a long way. They are still counting on
us during these difficult times. Your taxdeductible
donations for the rescue and care
of our cats and kittens can be made through
our website or by sending a check payable
to Kitten Rescue, 914 Westwood Blvd. #583,

Saving one animal won’t change the world,
but the world will surely change for that
animal. •
Purrrfect Companions
Why are there so many kittens and cats out
there to save? An unspayed kitten can begin
to have babies at as young as 5-6 months of
age. With kittens themselves having kittens in
a season that lasts for at least seven months,
the birth rate in just one year is explosive. We
will never run out of kittens; what we fight so
hard to end is the unnecessary suffering and
death of those mamma cats and babies born
on the streets. Please spay and neuter your
pets; assistance is available! Along with spay
and neutering, if just 2% of the pet-owning
households in America fostered one pet a
year, we could stop euthanizing healthy pets
in shelters.
Jack is a sweet affectionate fellow who is
so handsome with his cute pink nose! With his
white body, three black spots and full black
tail, we believe Jack is a Turkish Van mix.
He is an active, playful kitten who loves to
play chase and wrestle with a buddy. Since
Jack is an active youngster, he needs a home
with a young energetic cat that will keep
him company. After playing, he will climb
into his cat tree for a nap. Jack is also very
cuddly and loves to stretch out for a nap on
your lap, purring to show how content he is.
Olive, aka Oli, is a hilarious rascal of a
little girl who loves pouncing around with
her brothers, Moe, Okie and Puddy almost
as much as she loves a person’s undivided
cuddle attention. She and her brothers show
their affection around the clock and prefer
to sleep on or leaned up against you. Olive’s
absolute favorite spot to chill out is the windowsill.
She is not shy about what she wants
and will happily demand attention when she
sees fit (from cats and humans alike). If Olive
has decided it is her turn to get pet, then
she is going to find a way to weasel herself
under your hand.
Puddy is a handsome and dignified gentleman
who has taught his siblings, Olive, Okie
and Moe, what it means to have fun without
misbehaving. He and his brother, Moe, are
often trying to figure out a way that they can
both comfortably snooze on a lap without
falling off. As for playtime, Puddy is a star
athlete and sets the standard for catching a
feather toy. The most important things to
him are having a person to sleep on, one of
his siblings to snuggle and wrestle with, and
catching all the flies. Puddy is easygoing and
will not have trouble making friends with a
new potential buddy if you have a friendly
cat who needs a friend.
Bowie is an extremely sweet and loving
girl. She is a little shy with new people at
first however she warms up very quickly.
Bowie gets along with other kitties but has
never been around dogs. She loves to play,
take naps, and snuggle next to you on the
couch or bed when you watch TV or sleep.
We hope you will come to meet Bowie; she
is so deserving of a loving forever home.
Naya and Cider are the cutest little peas in
a pod. Not that they are alike, but they are so
little and cute, the term just fits. They love to
play, wrestle and nap together. They each also
have their independent streaks and will each
do their own thing at times. This sweet pair
has distinct personalities. Cider is a total love
bug that likes everyone at first sight. He will
climb into your lap or lie across your neck
and cuddle. Cider is the more adventurous
of the two. He will explore every nook and
cranny and create adventures for himself. Naya
wants you to earn her love and affection. Once
you do, she turns into an adorable little purr
machine. Naya is a polite little young lady
that does not go looking for trouble, though
she will often join Cider on his escapades.
These cats and kittens are available for
adoption through Kitten Rescue, one of the
largest cat rescue groups in Southern California.

Congratulations to Foxy and her family.
Puddy
Something wonderful happened last week…
and then it got even better!
Our sweet, playful FeLV cat Foxy was
adopted by a great family! We are over the
moon with happiness for him and Foxy was
incredibly happy too!
Then something so beautiful happened. The
adopters saw Gracie, the fluffy queen of our
FeLV suite and devoted playmate to Foxy. It
did not take long for the decision to be made
and then Gracie was adopted too! Foxy and
Gracie are now together forever in their new
home. For us at Kitten Rescue, it feels like
Christmas in August.
Kitten Rescue is one of the few rescues
in Los Angeles with a dedicated FeLV room
where cats with this disease can happily live
out their lives if they are not adopted like
Foxy and Gracie.
When you adopt a “pet without a partner”,
you will forever make a difference in their life
and they are sure to make a difference in yours. •
