Program Waiting List Is OPEN
The City of Inglewood Authority manages the
Housing Choice Voucher (HCV, also known as
“Section 8”) program for the City of Inglewood.
The Housing Choice Voucher program provides
rental assistance to eligible low-income families,
which helps them afford safe, quality housing.
The City of Inglewood Housing Authority Section
8 Waiting List will be accepting pre-application
online July 13, 2020 at 9:00 A.M. Pacific
Time through July 20, 2020 at 5:00 P.M.
Pacific Time. Pre-applications for the Section
8 waiting list will ONLY be available online.
Please apply at https://www.waitlistcheck.com/
CA2107. [NO PAPER APPLICATIONS WILL
BE HAND-GIVEN].
Applicants must have a valid email account
and telephone number prior to completing a
pre-application. Applicants can apply anywhere
internet access is available. Applicants who
do not have access to a computer, tablet,
or a smart phone, may utilize a computer at
the Inglewood City Hall, located at One West
Manchester Blvd. Inglewood, Ca 90301, the
Inglewood One-Stop, located at 110 South
La Brea Avenue Inglewood, Ca 90301 or
Saint Margaret’s Center, located at 10217 S.
Inglewood Avenue Inglewood Ca, 90304. As
a reasonable accommodation, for a person
with disabilities, the HA may provide technical
assistance to insure that the pre-application is
accepted for applicants that have a disability
and cannot complete the process. For more

Due to limited funding, not all applicants will
be placed on the waiting list. All pre-applications
collected will be included in the lottery. Only
5000 pre-applications will be kept and made
active on the waiting list. Subject to funding
and attrition rates, it is anticipated that applicants
may be offered assistance within approximately
3 to 5 years or more.
Additionally, all pre-applications collected
during the list opening period will be included
in the lottery to determine the 5,000 applications
that will be added to the waiting list. If
an applicant is not selected for the waiting list
by the lottery system, they will have to reapply
upon the next waiting list opening. The time and
date of receipt of the application on-line has
no bearing on whether an application will be
selected for the waiting list. There is no need
or advantage to applying immediately after the
list opens. The preference points and lottery
will determine in which order pre-applications
are placed on the waiting list.

information is being kept for statistical

As vouchers become available, pre-applications
will be pulled from the waiting list in the
order in which they were placed by the lottery.
The lottery will take place on July 27, 2020.

Applicants will also be sent an email indicating
if their application was successfully submitted
