With our city and state shut down, we are
faced with the delicate balance to protect our
fellow humans from the spread of COVID-19,
while continuing our mission of saving the
most vulnerable victims of the homeless cat
crisis. We know that these are hard times for
everyone. If you can give a little, it will go a
long way. They are still counting on us during
these difficult times. Your tax-deductible
donations for the rescue and care of our cats
and kittens can be made through our website
or by sending a check payable to Kitten
Rescue, 914 Westwood Blvd. #583, Los
Angeles, CA 90024.
If you remember Tricia Helfer from the TV
series Battlestar Galactica, she has a special
message for you on the Kitten Rescue Facebook
page about “Giving Tuesday”.
Saving one animal won’t change the
world, but the world will surely change for
that animal. •
Purrrfect Companions
“Kitten season” is here and there is a great
need for foster parents. Whether you care for
one or many, once or frequently, Kitten Rescue
would love for you to become a foster parent.
They offer training, guidance, medical care (if
needed) and lots of moral support. Fostering
brings you the rich reward of knowing you
personally saved this kitty’s life in providing a
safe, loving home while waiting for adoption.
Interested?......please email them at foster@
kittenrescue.org for more information.
If just 2% of the pet-owning households in
America fostered one pet a year, we could stop
euthanizing healthy pets in shelters.
Here are a few of the precious cats and
kittens waiting for their fur-ever homes.
Looking for a lap cat? Cosmo is a little
fluffer nugget that loves to play “find the
mouse” with her best friend and brother, PJ.
When she’s finished eating, she likes to climb
into your lap for her after-meal cleaning and
a few scratches in all the right places. Her
purr can be heard from across the room,
and she has the sweetest face that every pet
parent can love. Cosmo was initially named
after Cosmo Kramer for her goofy nature and
crazy kitty hair.
PJ is the life of the party, and there is never
a dull moment when he’s around. He is fearlessly
curious and runs from room to room
like he’s seeing the world for the first time. PJ
has not met a food or toy that he doesn’t like
and prefers to perch high above the room to
groom himself and observe the world around
him. PJ has a lot of kitty energy but also has
a lot of love to give you and your family. He’s
highly motivated by food, so cat tricks could
be in his future. It would be wonderful if PJ
and Cosmo could be adopted together; they
balance each other out in all the right ways.
Paterson is a panther cat who has a secret –
she’s got the swirling stripes of a classic tabby,
but they only show up in bright light. Cats with
this unique color pattern are sometimes referred
to as “ghost tabbies.” Her yellow eyes and a
bright pink tongue provide the perfect pop of
color to her monochromatic ensemble. Patty’s
favorite hobbies are climbing, toy hunting, and
laying in the sun with her foster siblings. Patty
would love to find a forever family with one
of the kitties in her foster home (Blair, Wilson,
and Potter Stewart) but would be happy as long
as she has another young kitty for a playmate.
Kinsley is a beautiful, fluffy eight-year-old
tortoiseshell who looking for a very patient,
kind and gentle adopter, fully committed to
helping her come out of her shell. Kinsley
recently showed up at a friend’s doorstep
hungry and looking for a home. We can never
know what Kinsley went through before she
came to us, but we can be certain that she
has been through a lot and had incredible
strength to survive her time on the streets.
Initially, Kinsley is very shy and searches for
safety in confined spaces. However, if you
are patient and loving towards her, she will
start to trust you and let you into her world.
Aa you sit with her and give her neck and
back scratches, she will quickly transform to
a playful and affectionate cat who is looking
for someone to love her. Kinsley has FIV,
which is an auto-immune deficiency, but she
is in great health. FIV is not transmissible to
humans and is exceedingly difficult to transmit
to other cats. If you can find the love in your
heart to care for her, Kinsley would be your
best new buddy.
These cats and kittens are available for adoption
through Kitten Rescue, one of the largest
cat rescue groups in Southern California. All
our kitties are spayed/neutered, microchipped,
tested for FeLV and FIV, dewormed and current
on their vaccinations. Temporarily, adoption
events are suspended. For additional information
