is observant, calm and playful. She prefers
to come to you and sit near or above you,
not a lap cat, at least not yet. She will watch
you as you move about and race you to her
favorite play spots to engage you in play.
Wand toys and strings are her favorite and
she is quite athletic. She currently loves to
play with her son and housemate, Marlon.
Although Sydney is not too shy, she needs
a quiet household where she can feel safe so
she can strut about contentedly.
Dakota is a chill dude with a short, crooked
tail. He likes to hang out and observe his
environment, but he always down for playing
with any type of string toy. Dakota tolerates
brushing and petting to an extent, being more
on the independent side vs. wanting to glue
himself to a human. Dakota’s ideal person
would have some experience with cats and
would give him a chance to relax into his
environment. Though we haven’t seen him
get involved in mutual grooming sessions,
he does get along with most cats and could
do well in a home where he was the only
kitty or could share the space with other cat
tolerant cats. Dakota is waiting for his special

person to take him home.
Born in a car in Gardena, The Professor
was a loved street kitten for the first five
weeks of his life until he and his siblings got
an upper respiratory disease. Along with their
mom Dale, The Professor and his siblings were
rescued their foster mother so they could be
medicated and loved. The Professor has big
serious eyes and is very talkative. He has the
loudest purr you’ll find from a young kitty.
He loves to play, allows nail clippings and
is a lap cat. Although he still has big kitten
energy, The Professor is not destructive, and
only scratches on posts, not furniture.
These cats and kittens are available for
adoption through Kitten Rescue, one of the
largest cat rescue groups in Southern California.
All our kitties are spayed/neutered,
microchipped, tested for FeLV and FIV,

Temporarily, adoption events are suspended.

Purrrfect Companions
Every second of every minute of every
day, a helpless animal is put to death just
because no one was there to take them home.
Give them second chance for love when you
adopt one of these precious kitties. You can

Lainie was brought to a shelter by her owners.
They had lost their home and had been
living in their car. They felt she deserved more
than they could give her and Kitten Rescue
stepped in. We think she’s around 15 years
old and has had some extensive dental work,
having had 9 teeth pulled, but since then has
had no health issues. She came to her foster
home very depressed and overweight, but after
a few months of love and attention, she has
blossomed into a happy loving kitty. Lainie
is just so happy to be around people and has
learned to tolerate the two young male cats
in her foster home. Her ideal situation would
to be as a solo kitty. She loves a lap and a
snuggle in bed and wants nothing more than
chin scratches and kisses. Can you give her
the retirement home she deserves?
Romeo is such a lover! He’s a gorgeous
boy who loves to be pet and cuddled. Truly,
he is one of the sweetest kitties you’ll ever
meet. Romeo was living in a coyote filled
neighborhood outdoors for the past two years;
it’s a miracle he’s still alive. He is very social,
affectionate and loving, and will make the
perfect indoor family pet. This sweet boy
gets along fine with other cats and dogs, as
long as they don’t bully him. Romeo is a
lover, not a fighter!
Who would love a pair of adorable puzzling
kitties?! Roy and Tippy Tail were rescued
from the city shelter as bottle babies. Roy
is incredibly affectionate and loving, always
sleeping on the bed or climbing on top of
other kitties. He loves to squeeze himself
between kitties, always wanting to be the
center of attention. Roy loves to roll around
on his back and will follow you to every
room. He loves other cats and would adore
a feline buddy in his home. This great, lanky
boy is sure to make someone’s home extra
special! Tippy Tail is an adventurous, boisterous,
leader of his litter. As the biggest kitten,
he has always been the first one to explore,
the first to try something new, and the first
to claim a toy. Tippy is hilarious with toys,
growling over them and carrying them around
the house. He will purr like crazy when pet,
and sleeps on the bed with you. Tippy Tail is
both independent and gets along great with
other kitties. Both would love a feline buddy
in their home and can be adopted together
or with any of his siblings or foster friends.
Tippy Tail and Roy would be a great addition
to any family.

Rescued as babies from a city shelter, Elric
and Caramel were kittens featured for adoption
in the Herald newspapers. Last week they
went home with their forever family. These
two snugglers are loving life with and have
an adorable six-year-old little girl to love.
Their foster mom Cynthia sent a fond farewell,
“Bye babies - have a wonderful life!!”
When you adopt a “pet without a partner”,
you will forever make a difference in their
life and they are sure to make a difference
in yours. •
