a young and energetic kitty, he needs a cat
or kitten buddy in his forever home to play
with and learn from.
Birdie was surrendered at 18 years of age
to a high kill shelter. She was labeled as a
Yorkie, but when we arrived at the shelter to
meet her, we found that she was in fact an
adorable poodle mix! Birdie was welcomed
with open arms as a resident of our kitten
nursery. Another surprise for us … Birdie
may be a senior girl, but she has the energy
of a much younger dog. She greets you with
happy prances and loves her walks. She also
likes to hang out with all the cats and kittens
at the nursery. Birdie has a good appetite
and loves her treats too. She is in excellent
health for her age. This wonderful senior is
looking to spend her retirement in a loving
home with someone who is home all day, so
they can hang out and enjoy afternoon naps
in front of the TV together.
These kitties are available for adoption

Purrrfect Companions
With “kitten season” upon us, there is an
urgent need for foster parents. Whether you
care for one or many, once or frequently, Kitten
Rescue would love for you to become a
foster parent. They offer training, guidance,
medical care (if needed) and lots of moral
support. Fostering brings you the rich reward
of knowing you personally saved this kitty’s
life in providing a safe, loving home while
waiting for adoption. Interested?......please
email them at foster@kittenrescue.org for
more information.
Here are a few of the precious cats and
kittens waiting for their fur-ever homes.
Orion is an adorable black and white kitten
with a sweet pink nose and the cutest little
pink toes. Orion is the leader of his litter.
The first to do, and try, everything. He is full
of energy and loves to play. Rambunctious,
Leonardo
curious and talkative, Orion is very outgoing
and friendly. When playtime is over, he will
enjoy a nice nap and a good snuggle with you
or his mama kitty, Nova. One of his favorite
games is “catch the feather-wand”. If you
play this before bedtime, he will reward you
by snuggling up and sleeping quietly next to
you all night long.
Nova is a wonderful young and playful
mama kitty. She is sweet, independent and
low maintenance. She adored being a mom
and took her parenting responsibilities very
seriously. When her kittens were tiny, she
always made sure to say a quick “Hello”
when you came in the room but would run
right back to her spot in the nest to be with
her babies. Now that they are growing up, she
has eased up a little and will come around for
a little cuddle and a lot of chin scratches. . A
few times a day, she and her babies will play
a fun game of tag or hide and seek. Nova is
very tidy, well behaved, and she loves to play.
Greta is a gorgeous, smart and independent
kitty. She loves pets and rubs against
you when she wants to, because she’s the
boss. She is an adventurous and loving girl.
Greta was a nursing mom pulled from the
shelter. Now that her babies are grown, Greta
is ready for a home of her own. She is a
low maintenance, playful kitty and loves to
spend time with her human friends. People
who meet her are mesmerized by her beauty
and charisma. Overall, Greta is a confident
and happy kitty who loves her life!
Leonardo da Vinci is an awesome little boy.
He is the perfect combination of playfulness
and affection. He enjoys playing with his
siblings and his toys. Leonardo also likes to
lounge on your lap, climb up your shoulder
and just hang out there to be close to you.
He gets along well with other kitties and is
good with children too. After being rescued
from a high kill shelter, Leonardo hopes his
luck continues to find his forever home where
receives lots of love and happiness. Being

Marguerite found her human soulmates!
Kitten Rescue rescued Marguerite with her
mom and siblings from a high kill shelter
two years ago. The family went into
foster care, but Marguerite was very shy
and would retreat when potential adopters
would come to visit her. After a couple
years in foster care, we took a chance and
put her at one of our PetSmart enclosures
where she blossomed with the attention of
our daily volunteers.
A couple of weeks ago her hew family,
Robert and Emily, walked in and it was love
at first sight. Robert had been to several
shelters in search of a kitty, but he had not
felt the connection that he was looking for.
When Marguerite was taken out of her cage,
she walked right up to Robert’s feet and
pined for attention. The rest is history! Now
her name is Bonnie and she is finally home!
When you adopt a “pet without a partner”,
you will forever make a difference in their
life and they are sure to make a difference
in yours. •
