Purrrfect Companions
A cat (or two) makes every home more fun!
Start out your New Year with a resolution to
adopt a wonderful new kitty companion.
Gracie is a sweet, gorgeous girl with a luxurious
fluffy coat that just begs to be stroked.
Her human had to move to assisted living and
was unable to bring Gracie with her. She’s
incredibly loving given a little time to get to
know you, wants to cuddle up next to you or
on your lap. She loves to play with toys and
explore a cat tree or is also happy to just hang
out and chill. Gracie would be happy to be the
only kitty getting all your attention and love.
If you are looking for a friend to come home
to and keep you company, Gracie is your gal.
She’s a total delight, a very easy cat to care
for, and is approximately 8 years old. Gracie
cannot wait to be part of your family!
Astro is a sweet, affectionate, loving and smart
boy who loves people! He is easy going and
low maintenance, but also loves to hang out and
snuggle. He would do well with a family, and
with other pets, or could happy as your only cat.
Luna is an adorable, outgoing, affectionate
kitty who loves to play! She has gorgeous
green eyes, silky soft fur, and loves everyone
she meets. Luna would do great as a solo
kitty or with a resident kitty who will let
her have all the playtime and be queen bee
of her house. Luna loves people most of all
and adapts very well to new environments and
loves to eat. She is a bit overweight so her
diet should be controlled to help her ease off
a few pounds. Most of all, Luna would love
someone to give her play time with interactive
wands or tossing balls for her to chase. Luna
is an all-around purr-fect, plug-n-play girl who
would do great with any family.
Benny is one chill cat. He likes to cruise
around the sanctuary, check out the other cats,
say hey to the caretakers, and then wrap it all
up with a nap. Benny was brought to a vet’s
office due to having difficulty urinating, and
when his owner couldn’t afford the treatment,
she surrendered him to the vet. We’re not
100% sure what brought on this episode of
difficulty urinating. Since he has recovered, he
has been doing fine on a wet food only diet.
So, when he wants a treat, we go easy on the
crunchy ones! Benny is FIV+, but he is in
good health. Our experience with FIV+ cats
is that they have the same life expectancy as
non-FIV kitties and they love their people just
the same. It is extremely hard to transmit from
cat to cat and it requires direct blood contact
(typically from a deep puncture wound) and
is not transmissible to humans.
Oswald is a sweet and loving little kitten.
He adores being held and cuddled, making
biscuits and purring as soon as he sees you
come in the room. Oswald is friendly, brave,
and always ready to make new friends. He
loves to play non-stop; any toy or piece of
fluff will do. He hasn’t found his meow yet,
instead makes a tiny “MEEP” to say he’s
hungry, wants cuddles, or any time he wants to
communicate with you. Oswald needs another
kitty friend that is very active who can show
him the ropes, or he can be adopted in a pair
with another young kitten.
Karlie Klaws like her human counterpart
(supermodel, Karlie Kloss) is beautiful and
unique. She is a spunky and loving girl who
loves to cuddle up next to you all night long,
but also loves to play during the day by chasing
her sister around and searching for fun new
toys (like boxes). Karlie is a bit shy at first,
but once she gets to know you, she’s incredibly
sweet and affectionate. Her sister Jane
is a sweet, beautiful girl who loves everyone
and everything, even when first meeting them.
She’s quick to warm up, and loves to play
with her sister, Karlie as well as other cats
in her foster home. She also enjoys looking
out the window at all the birds. Jane loves to
cuddle with her humans and her sister. They
are very bonded and must be adopted together
These kitties are available for adoption
through Kitten Rescue, one of the largest cat
rescue groups in Southern California. All our
kitties are spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested

Happy Tails
We love when all of our kitties find forever
homes, but it is even more exciting when one
of our special needs babies goes home. Brenda
got her Christmas wish and went home for
the holidays!
Brenda was born with Feline Leukemia Virus
(FeLV), an autoimmune disease that could lead
to a shorter lifespan for her, and mild case of
Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a neurological disorder
that makes her walk with a funny gait. She has
lived in our FeLV room at the Kitten Rescue
Sanctuary, with her FeLV friends, for her
entire life. It isn’t often that adopters come
Benny
looking to adopt an FeLV+ kitty, but when
one family came into do their Gold Award
project for Girl Scouts, they fell in love with
Brenda’s special personality. They went home
and talked to their vet, who has an FeLV+ cat
of her own, and decided to adopt her!
We could not be happier for Brenda and
her new family. It is definitely a holiday wish
come true for all!
When you adopt a “pet without a partner”,
you will forever make a difference in their
life and they are sure to make a difference
in yours. •
Congratulations to Brenda and her new family!
