C.E.R.T. Training from front page

of Los Angeles Fire Department’s C.E.R.T.
program was developed to provide basic
training in safety and life-saving skills for
the general public.
The training course will be presented as a
series of three consecutive Saturday classes
on Nov. 3, 10 and 18 from 9 a.m. to 4:30
P.M. Topics will include disaster preparedness,
disaster fire suppression, disaster medical
operations, light search and rescue, team
organization, terrorism, disaster psychology,
and review/simulation.
Classes will take place at Inglewood City
Hall in the Community Room on the first
floor (1 Manchester Blvd.). Those interested
may register online or contact the City of
Inglewood Office of Emergency Services at
310-412-8840. Participants are required to
wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. Students
16 and older may attend if accompanied
by a parent. Students must complete all 20
hours of the course to receive a certificate
of completion. All students must be at least
18 years old to participate.
