Once she warms up to you, she is a sweet,
loving and affectionate.
Freddie is a sweet, friendly, well-behaved
poodle mix who loves snuggling and going
on short walks. But most of all, Freddie loves
sitting next to his human watching TV or on
the computer. His current owner needs to give
Freddie up because his wife died recently.
Now he’s in a wheelchair and can no longer
care for Freddie. Freddie has a long and
healthy life ahead of him and would love a
new family. He gets along great with children
and other dogs. He barks at cats when he sees
them outside, but Freddie has never lived with
them -- so he’s unsure if he will like them.
These kitties (and a pup) are available for
adoption through Kitten Rescue, one of the largest
cat rescue groups in Southern California. All
our kitties are spayed/neutered, microchipped,
tested for FeLV and FIV, dewormed and current
on their vaccinations. For additional information
and to see these or our other kittens and cats,
please check our website www.kittenrescue.org
or email us at mail@kittenrescue.org.
Your tax-deductible donations for the rescue
and care of our cats and kittens can be made
through our website or by sending a check
payable to Kitten Rescue, 914 Westwood Blvd.
#583, Los Angeles, CA 90024.
On Saturdays, we have adoptions from noon
to 3:30 p.m. in Westchester at 8655 Lincoln
Blvd. just south of Manchester Avenue, and
also in Mar Vista at 3860 Centinela Ave,
just south of Venice Boulevard. Our website
lists additional adoption sites and directions
to each location.
Adopting one animal won’t change the
world, but the world will surely change for
that animal. •
Frances Rusty
Still looking for a lovely little Valentine?
Adopting one (or two) of these precious kitties
(and there’s also a poodle mix in the mix…)
will change their world and yours.
Reese and Frances were rescued with
their mama and siblings from a city shelter
at the age of one day. Now Reese and her
sister Frances are in a foster home, learning
all about living in a house with other cats
and some little dogs. They’re affectionate
and very playful, and so young that they will
need another cat in their adoptive home. Or
you can adopt these adorable sisters together!
Reese looks like a regular calico with lots of
white fur, but if you look closely you can see
the tabby stripes in her colors. Frances looks
like an ordinary tabby, but if you look closely
you can see the calico colors.
Rusty might have a squeaky, rusty creak
of a meow, but he’s no cranky kitty. He’s
gregarious, curious and always ready to stick
his nose in something new or someplace
interesting. One of his favorite things to do
is follow human feet around. Not only are
human feet fun to play with, but they usually
lead to tasty snacks and warm laps to sleep
on. Compared to his siblings, Rusty is a
verbose talker. He’s also learned how to fish
around inside a Tupperware and grab treats
with his paws.
Helga is an awesome girl who actively asks
for your attention. Helga loves her siblings as
well as other cats. She even loves dogs and
is great with kids. She loves chasing strings,
the dog’s tail or his brother and sisters. This
love bug enjoys being petted and snuggling,
so you’ll soon find out she has the softest
fur. Although she is playful and independent,
Helga likes to be wherever you are whether
that is on your lap while you are watching
TV or hanging out on the edge of the tub
while you are taking a shower.
Rayen was found wandering backyards
in West Hills. He is a sweet boy who is
extremely loving, and affectionate! Fully
vetted and in otherwise perfect health, Rayen
did test positive for FIV. But fed a healthy
diet and remaining indoors only, he will live
a normal, healthy life. FIV is not a big deal
-- an FIV+ cat will live the same lifespan as
an FIV negative cat. The disease is extremely
hard to transmit from cat to cat, requiring
direct blood contact (typically from a deep
puncture wound). It is not transmissible to
humans. Rayen needs an indoor, loving home
and will repay you with years and years of
Reese
snuggles! He’s a true lap cat.
Candy is a beautiful, petite kitty who loves
to nap in the cat tree as the sun shines through
and warms her. She is quite playful and will
spend hours wrestling with her foster siblings
and running circles around her favorite cat
toy. As a young, playful kitty, Candy needs
to be adopted together with one of her foster
siblings or into a home with an existing
kitty. Candy is a bit shy when she meets new
people, so she needs someone who will be
patient and loving while earning her trust.
She does not run and hide. She simply stays
an arm’s reach away while she observes and
assesses new people she meets. It can take
her anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour
or more to get comfortable around strangers.
