The El Segundo Education Foundation held its
first ever, Ed!toberfest on September 18, 2021
at Chevron Park in El Segundo. Ed!toberfest
was created with the vision of highlighting
the exciting and growing trend of breweries
in El Segundo with a casual, 100% outdoor,
fun Oktoberfest theme. This was El Segundo
Education Foundation’s first in-person event in
over 18 months and the evening exceeded all
expectations in both community participation
and fund raising. A sold-out crowd of 500
attendees and sponsors were able to taste brews
and food from El Segundo’s Breweries. The
evening went beyond beer tastings with an
exciting opportunity raffle, stein holding contest,
pretzel toss contest, costume contest, games,
photobooth, the chicken dance, live accordion
music and a live auction. Each attendee ended
their evening with some swag from the LA
Chargers, Chevron and SkyOne Credit Union.
The El Segundo Education Foundation hopes
to make this an annual event due this year’s
resounding success. •
Rock & Brews brought beer, food, contest prizes and energy to the evening.
