Thomas Edward Nicholson
Thomas Edward Nicholson
passed away on August 17, 2021.
Thomas, known as Tommy, was
born in Mountain View, CA on
October 3, 1971 to Tom and Judy
Nicholson. The family moved
to Westchester, CA in 1977
and then to El Segundo, CA
in 1980.
Tommy was active in youth
sports and acted in commercials
and television parts. His signature
commercial was McDonald’s,
“Little Sister.” He loved to skate and surf
and hang out with friends at the beach. He
had a passion for music and enjoyed going to
concerts and shows. His love for music was
only outweighed by his love for the Raiders
football team. At 15 ½, Tommy worked summers
for local Beaver Construction where he
learned to be a finished carpenter. He also
worked for his parent’s business as a courier
driver. Tommy graduated from El Segundo
High School in 1989.
After High School, Tommy moved around
before marrying his loving wife, Louise
Levy Nicholson on June 1, 1996 and settling
down in the El Segundo area. He worked
for local construction companies
Trim-Tech and Jamb-In Construction
as a finished carpenter.
The couple has three beautiful
children, Tommy, Jimmy,
and Emilee. In 2006, Tommy
moved with his family to northern
California to live on Lake
Shasta. The family enjoyed
their years together living in a
cabin close enough to walk to
the lake where they spent their
time fishing, swimming, and
boating. Tommy worked at Silverthorne
Resort and Houseboat Marina in houseboat
maintenance.
He is survived by his wife Louise and
their children Tommy, Jimmy, and Emilee.
He is also survived by his mother, Judy
Nicholson, sister, Lori Nicholson Pangburn,
brother-in-law, Don Pangburn, and nieces
Brie and Kevi Pangburn.
Tommy, gone too soon, will be missed
dearly by everyone who was touched by his
presence. In lieu of flowers, please consider
donating to the family to cover medical bills
and funeral costs at the following Gofundme

Don Raymond Mullins
Don Raymond Mullins, 90, of Poway, California,
passed away on September 1, 2021.
He was born to parents Sanford and Helen
Mullins, on April 18, 1931, in Hermosa
Beach, California. Don graduated from El
Segundo High School in 1948, where he
was a member of the CIF Champion Water
Polo and Swimming teams during his senior
year. Following high school, Don enlisted
and served honorably in the US Coast Guard.
After military service, he went on to receive
a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
from the University of Hawaii (1957).
After college, Don began a career as a business
manager at TRW (Northrop Grumman)
in Redondo Beach, California. During this
time, he resided in El Segundo with his first
wife, Ardeth Bentjen, and their three sons,
Ray, Craig, and Gary. In 1983, he moved
to San Diego County with his second wife,
Peggy Barnard, where he concluded his 30+
years at TRW and began retirement together
with Peggy.
In retirement, Don found fulfillment in
actively serving his community. He volunteered
with the Trauma Intervention Program
(TIP) of San Diego, the SDPD Retired Senior
Volunteer Patrol (RSVP), and was a Court-
Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for
foster children. He and Peggy also enjoyed
traveling the world together and spending
time with their many friends and loved ones
in San Diego.
Don is survived by sons Craig (Kellie) Mullins
and Gary Mullins, both of El Segundo;
daughter Jeanette (Neil) Kaufman of Los
Angeles; and four grandchildren – Jordan
Mullins, Jamie Mullins, Dalia Kaufman, and
Cora Kaufman. He was preceded in death
