How could they just leave us there and never
look back? At least we weren’t there very
long because these nice MSFR people rescued
all three of us and they want to help us find
better homes than the one we had. Like my
sisters, I’m just a bit of gal -- currently just
about 8 pounds, but I should be about 15-20
pounds when fully grown. Before I go to
pet adoptions, I definitely need a bath and
something called a grooming so that I’ll be
looking my best. Believing that the natural
look is best, I have natural ears and a natural
tail…and of course, an adorably sweet face.
I sure hope I find someone whom I can trust
to love me forever and never have to worry
about being rejected again.”

Pacific Coast Hwy., Redondo Beach 90277,
from noon to 3: 30 p.m. If you are interested
in volunteering and can commit to at least

“Hi, my name is Gabrielle and I have
to admit I’m a bit overwhelmed and confused.
First of all I’m only 5 months old and the
baby of the three, so I’m totally lacking in life
experiences. My sisters, Hallie and Fern, and
I heard tales about a holiday called the 4th
of July and were looking forward, although
somewhat apprehensively, to spending the day
with our owners. The next thing we knew we
our very first 4th of July, with our owners.
Then the next moment, they just left us. No
explanation for why they no longer wanted
us. Seriously, what could a 5-month-old,
8-pound baby girl possibly do that was bad
enough for them to stop loving me? I know
the middle child is the one with issues, but
I’m not old enough to even know what an
issue is! I’ve been told that I’m a real cutie
pie – or that I will be once I get something
called a makeover. I have a natural, plumey
tail, natural ears and the most expressive
eyes that I know will win you over. My
sister, Fern, keeps trying to assure me and
Gabrielle that everything is going to be better
than ever once we find our forever homes. I
sure hope mine comes with a loving family
and a dog to keep me company since I’ve
never been without my sisters. Even though
I’m too young to know much about life, I
definitely know that I don’t ever want to feel
unloved and just disposed of again.”

“Hi there, I’m Fern. By now I’m certain
you’ve, met my sisters Gabrielle and Hallie.
I’m the oldest of the trio who were discarded
by our owners and given to an LA County
shelter the week before the 4th of July holiday.
I’ve been trying to keep everyone’s spirits
up by telling my sisters that everything is
going to be okay, but I’m not certain I’m
very convincing. When at only 5 months old
and my first life lesson is this huge rejection,
it makes me a bit cautious. I am extremely
grateful to the folks at MSFR for rescuing
all of us and helping me find a family that
will love me and appreciate everything I can
bring to their family. Since I’m still a pup,
I only weigh 8 pounds…but when I’m fully
grown, I’ll weigh more like 15-20 pounds. I
will be the perfect size to share your lap or
accompany you on our adventures. I obviously
get along with other dogs since I’ve
always had my sisters to keep me company.
So if you already have a dog, I’d love to
be its playmate. Everyone keeps telling me
that I’m going to be stunning once I have
my makeover and my coat is all clean and
shiny. I have a natural tail, which I call my
‘happy meter,’ that shows my enthusiasm
when I get excited. I also have natural ears,
soulful eyes and a personality that will melt
your heart.”
