Kinecta Federal Credit Union
Offers Financial Empowerment
Through Education
In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic that
has caused financial uncertainty and financial
setbacks for many Americans, Kinecta Federal
Credit Union’s commitment to financial empowerment
remains stronger than ever. April
is National Financial Literacy Month, a time
to raise public awareness about the importance
of personal financial education and the serious
consequences that may result from a lack of
understanding. Since 2004, financial institutions,
state agencies, businesses, and other entities
have made efforts to help youth and adults
apply practical money mastery tips to their
everyday lives. There’s no need to complete
a semester-long personal finance class to learn
about the habits needed to live a financially
confident life. Free resources are available to
help Americans understand how choices made
today have lasting consequences.
Kinecta proudly supports these national efforts
to empower consumers with the information
needed to make smart financial decisions. In
2019, we reached 5,815 people via in-class,
and online financial empowerment workshops.
Additionally, our website www.kinecta.org,
provides free financial courses that can help
you learn to improve your credit, increase your
savings, understand taxes, plan for retirement
and other financial skills. These interactive
educational modules, which can be read between
two and seven minutes, will help plant
the seeds for financial knowledge, growth,
and success. Visit the Financial Empowerment
Center to start today!
Learning to make the most of your earnings
by investing, saving, borrowing smart,
and identifying your financial goals is key
to improving your financial well-being and
creating financial security.

“A good financial plan is a road map that
shows us exactly how the choices we make
today will affect our future.”
