El Segundo’s Neil Cadman
Juggles Multiple Roles
By Duane Plank
El Segundo resident Neil Cadman is firmly
entrenched in the local business scene. He runs
the Cadman Group, a boutique commercial real
estate company, as well as, Urban Advisors, an
entity that seeks to fulfill a niche by leveraging
analytics to help inform investors who are
buying, selling, or looking to maximize an
exiting investment, he’s quite a busy man.
When he is not toiling in the commercial
real estate world, Cadman and wife Becky are
the owners of the popular Richmond Street
eatery Deluca Pasta, which was launched
as a restaurant 13 years ago and was rebranded
in 2018.
Deluca partners with and supports local
businesses like the El Segundo Brewing
Company, the Blue Butterfly, Smoky Hollow
Baking, and Hello Marketing, and typically
sponsors weekly live music events to add
to the family atmosphere. Because of the
COVID-19 quarantine, Deluca was mandated
to shut-down their dining room and patio,
but is offering take-out, curbside pick-up
and free delivery, in conjunction with the
GundoToGo program.
During these uncertain times, Cadman said
that he has tried to keep as many employees
on the payroll as possible and continue to
provide health insurance. He acknowledges
that the restaurant industry has taken a big
hit, but that he expects the economy to
eventually rebound, citing “no fundamental
issues with the economy.”
In January, the Cadman Group did the
first Cadman Cares group event at the Los
Angeles Food Bank. They are shifting the
Cadman Cares strategy now so it can best
help out those in need during this time
while keeping staff safe. There’s a collection
box in the lobby of Cadman Group offices
in El Segundo and Long Beach, gathering
items for the Long Beach Homeless Shelter.

Chevron Refinery Thanks Hospitals
and Nonprofits Tackling COVID-19
with $110,000 in Gas Cards
El Segundo, California – April
17, 2020 – Chevron’s El Segundo
Refinery has donated $110,000 in gas
cards to support essential workers in
Los Angeles’s South Bay amidst the
ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This
initiative was created with a focus on
easing transportation costs for essential
workers, hospital staff, caregivers, and
nonprofits that are providing supplies and
aid to vulnerable residents.
Chevron made their first stop this morning
at Torrance Memorial Hospital, which
received $40,000 worth of gas cards to
help medical staff, custodians, and other
essential workers who have been working
around the clock to manage the bulk of
the region’s COVID-19 cases. Next up was
the Providence Little Company of Mary
Medical Center, where the Chevron team
was greeted with cordial elbow bumps in
accordance with CDC guidelines. The
Cities of El Segundo, Hawthorne, and
Manhattan Beach likewise received
assistance, as did Community Alliance to
Support and Empower, Salvation Army/
Meals on Wheels, Richstone Center,
and the Manhattan Beach Education
Foundation.
