Preparation
1. Prep and cook the chicken. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Pat the chicken dry with
a paper towel. Season generously with salt, pepper and the tandoori spice blend.
Place the chicken on a pan lined with foil and roast at 425 degrees for 15 to 20
minutes. Halfway through, turn it over.
2. Prep the Bombay potatoes. Chop 3/4 cup of onions. Scrub potatoes and cut into
1/2-inch by 1/2-inch pieces. Coarsely chop the cilantro for garnish.
3. Cook the Bombay potatoes. In a large frying pan warm 2 to 3 teaspoons oil over
medium-high heat. Add the onion, season with salt and pepper, and cook until
starting to soften. Stir in the curry powder and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add the potatoes, vegetable broth and tomatoes. Bring to a boil, reduce to a vigorous
simmer, cover and cook between five and seven minutes. Uncover and cook until
the liquid has thickened and the potatoes are tender. Stir in the peas and cook for
about two minutes. Stir in the greens and cook until just wilted.
3. Transfer the chicken and Bombay potatoes to individual plates, garnish with the
cilantro. Serve and enjoy.

Politically Speaking
Congressman Nunes Is Right:
Conservatives Are Under Attack
By Cristian Vasquez
In response to a segment by late-night talk
show host Stephen Colbert, the comedian
made fun of Rep. Devin Nunes and the
California Republican said that conservatives
are under attack. For once in his shameful
career, Rep. Nunes is right: conservatives in
office are under attack and they have nobody
to blame but themselves. Their integrity,
morality, values, actions and intelligence are
justifiably under attack. In typical empty-suit
fashion, Rep. Nunes was quoted saying, “The
left controls not only the universities in this
country, but they also control Hollywood
in this country and the mainstream media.
Conservatives in this country are under attack
and I think this is a great example of
it.” Yes, the guy who belongs to the party
with the biggest propaganda machine on
television and radio was offended by a joke
made by a late-night comedian. Somehow,
Rep. Nunes is convinced that entertainers are
more than a threat to him, and this country,
than the lies promulgated by his propaganda
network (birther movement, President Obama
was Muslim, etc…).
Rep. Nunes and all other conservatives
in office need to look in the mirror and accept
that they are under attack because they
have allowed the GOP to be taken over by
irrational, spineless, immoral, money-hungry,
fear-mongering individuals. That should
make Rep. Nunes, and anyone in the GOP
with a shred of human decency call out the
party. Instead, the majority of people associated
with the GOP have opted to go along
with this toxic leadership. Remember when
Speaker of the House Paul Ryan refused to
support or campaign for President Trump
because he didn’t represent the values of
the Republican Party? Yeah, now he’s just
a lapdog in Congress waiting for his term
to end so he can go home with his tail between
his legs.
Let’s not forget about the time when the
Republican president supported Alabama
predator Roy Moore for the Senate. Not really
an example of good morals from either of the
two. And the hard-work, pull-yourself-up-byyour
bootstraps message that conservatives
love to spew seems to have missed Moore,
who is now asking the Internet for money to
cover his legal fees. All of a sudden, a handout
isn’t such a bad thing for this gun-wielding
conservative. Unless the money is to help
feed a family in need, then for some reason
it becomes socialism and is unacceptable.
Yes, Rep. Nunes, you are under attack and
it’s all your and your colleagues’ fault. You
are all failing this country and have become
nothing but yes-men to special interest and
have agreed with irrational politics in order
to secure your position in Congress. If you
want people to stop attacking you, then you
and your colleagues need to stop being the
vile, hypocritical politicians that you’ve become
and start living up to the conservative
values you love to use as talking points. •
Oprah Waiting to Hear from God
as She Ponders Presidential Run
By Duane Plank
As billionaire entertainment icon and darling
of the left Oprah Winfrey ponders a run at the
presidency, she was quoted recently saying
that she was being urged to run by fellow billionaires
who have contacted her and offered
their financial support and political acumen.
She said her decision would be influenced
by one person: the big guy in the sky, God!
“God, you better tell me” whether to enter
the 2020 fray, she was quoted as saying, “and
make it so clear that not even I could miss it.”
No word on whether Joe Biden, Bernie
Sanders, Kamala Harris, or L.A.’s own Eric
Garcetti -- all mentioned as potential lefty
presidential aspirants -- are also waiting to
hear from the omnipotent one. By the way, the
no-show mayor of LA, Mr. Garcetti, seems to
spend more time testing the waters in states
outside of the Golden State as he ponders a
run for the presidency.
It would be nice if Garcetti would spend
a little more time trying to solve the myriad
problems that plague the great L.A. metropolis,
as opposed to running for president. Like
the homeless encampment that apparently
overwhelms all the overpaid bureaucrats occasionally
on the job in L.A. Or maybe pay
attention to the fact that, according to multiple
published reports, Garcetti and the corrupters
on the L.A. City Council totally dismissed
and obfuscated the incredible DROP scam that
some of those selected to protect us in police
and fire have propagated.
Not enough time and space to go into that
incredibly failed program here. A scam is a
scam is a scam. If interested, do your due
diligence. These folks who are gaming the
system are taking your, and my, money and
laughing at us as they live a life of luxury.
So a recent report basically said that California
is a hell-hole -- the worst state to live
in out of the 50. I will tell you that I have
lived here my entire life and kind-of think
the South Bay is a nice place to live. If you
own real estate…
Cuz other than that, and the admitted wonderful
weather, the benefits are…? Let’s see. A
crappy commute for a lot of us, although some
of you who are way smarter than me probably
have figured out a way to bamboozle your boss
and not drive to the office anymore. “Working
from home,” or “remotely.” Sure you do.
Higher taxes are a big sell in California, as
well as the outrageous extra taxes we pay on
petrol so we can have our pothole-ravaged
roads fixed. When was the last time that you
– driving/playing on your phone -- witnessed
a pothole being fixed? And, I will guarantee
you, if something was done to take care of
the smoothness of the roads in L.A., it took
18 overpaid employees in orange vests standing
around and drinking coffee to accomplish
that feat.
Have to sign off now to waste a couple of
minutes viewing the leftist Academy Awards.
Haven’t seen any of the movies. They priced me
out a long time ago. Best to your and yours. •
