Vasquez on Pence
Christian Vasquez’s complaint about Vice
President Pence in the February 15 issue was
puzzling. In checking out what the fuss was, I
learned that the ultra-leftist mainstream press
is rabidly frothing at the mouth because Mike
Pence stood for the US delegation at the opening
ceremonies. Evidently the self-appointed selfaggrandizing
muckrakers in the press decided
that every one must also stand and cheer for
the combined Korea team or they were the
worst kind of evil in the world. Wow! And
then he laments that Pence is mixing politics
into sport. Really? So all the fuss is because
Mr. Pence sat quietly and respectfully while
others cheered for their teams and then stood
for his. All that is left is to wonder, who hands
out the talking points so they all can make the
same stupid points at the same time.
