Sometimes Silence Isn’t so Good
By Cristian Vasquez
It’s not new for people to be picky about
their word selection when describing or commenting
on events or issues. However, silence
can have just as much as an impact…and
it’s President Trump’s silence on the Austin
bombings that say a lot about the leader of
the free world. The one person who can’t stay
off Twitter to remind us how unsafe we are
without a border wall, and the same individual
who constantly reminded us of what a threat
ISIS is, has yet to comment a single word
on the four acts of domestic terror against
Austin in the past month. Now in case his
television viewing habits are true, there is
no way that he missed the story. But just
assuming he has somehow not heard a word
about these bombings, why hasn’t anyone on
his team come out and told him? Maybe it’s
because he does not care. President Trump
does not care about the voters of Austin. The
president does not care about anyone who
does not promote him directly.
One could argue that he’s mad at Austin
for having voted 66.3-27.4 percent in favor
of Hillary Clinton during the election. He
does have that level of pettiness in him. Or
one could even argue that by ignoring the
four anonymous bombings in less than a
month against a blue city inside a red state,
the president is minimizing the value and
importance of any portion of the electorate
that isn’t conservative. Yet at its core, it really
is a lack of sympathy by the most ignorant,
whiny commander-in-chief this nation has
had the misfortune of tolerating. The only
thing this man-child cares about is rallying
his flock of voters who respond to his every
whim. Sadly, he’ll use any tactic or scenario
at his disposal to scare and rally his base, but
the circumstances have to be right.
For instance, when the Las Vegas shooter
committed his despicable acts of violence, the
president was quick to condemn the incident
as “pure evil.” What’s different between the
carnage in Las Vegas and the bombings in
Austin? Well, the Las Vegas shooting was
a P.R. opportunity for the president and his
party to keep their base’s focus on mourning
the victims while avoiding the issue of gun
control. Trump, as well as the GOP, knew
that the topic of guns would be unavoidable
-- so he did the song and dance he had to
in order to appease his flock. Since Austin
provides no real opportunity for a “look-atme
doing-such-a-great-job” rally, he has been
silent. Maybe if there were a bomb lobby in
the likes of the terrorist organization known
as the NRA, the president would have condemned
the bombings in Austin.
The Austin bombings are in no way more
or less worthy of attention that the Las Vegas
shooting. However, the president managed to
make a distinction between the two because
one tragedy provided a benefit to him, while
the other failed to do so. •
Trump Skates in and Out of Cali,
Eludes Unemployed “Resistors”
By Duane Plank
So with little fanfare and media coverage,
President 45 jetted to our great Sanctuary State
last week, feigned attention at some border-wall
stuff in San Diego, and then hightailed it to
El Lay to raise Benjamins for his reelection
run in 2020.
And deftly avoided the resistors.
Before escaping from the swamp, Trump
canned “Sexy Rexy” Tillerson, his secretary of
defense, via Twitter, which was pathetic. Mr.
Trump, you need to grow a pair, eh? Meet Tillerson
in person, tell him that his stint as the SOD
didn’t work out and wish him well. You knew
what you were getting when you hired Tillerson.
Not a yes man, but an accomplished professional
with his own beliefs. Please take my advice.
Maybe 45 was too distracted by the constant
garbage CNN flips out (as their ratings
plummet) regarding Stormy Daniels and her
alleged…interactions…with the Donald? Must
be interesting when the lady of the evening
Daniels fills out her next job application, proudly
proclaiming her workplace skills.
Trump then cans the FBI’s Andrew Mc-
Cabe a day before the latter was set to retire
and collect way-too-much retirement money.
Anyone paying attention ever notice that many
of the workers in this country collect a ton of
Benjamins once they don’t work?
Switching gears, I was flummoxed and appalled
when I read a report that estimates Gov.
Jerry Brown’s idiotic bullet train has gone over
budget. Again. When is the last time a Demo
money grab has ever landed under budget?
Waiting for your answer, lefties. Never?
But if the erstwhile Governor Moonbeam,
turning 80 in a couple of weeks, makes his
fourth run at the presidency, I would support
him. If not now, when?
Back in the cesspool state of California, the
piss-ant illegal immigrant Jose Inez Garcia
Zarate, who murdered Kate Steinle as she
walked on a San Francisco pier with her
father, is now suing and claiming “vindictive
prosecution.” Saw the illegal immigrant hairbag’s
case being championed on TV by some
shyster lawyer named David Leopold. Leopold
said the murderer’s lawyer was just doing
what any attorney should do, representing his
murdering client.
Mark Steyn took on the ambulance-chaser
Leopold on the tele last week. Leopold deflected
Steyn’s interjections, to which the Canadian
Steyn, who came to this country legally, took
umbrage and noted someone by the name
of Lizbeth Mateo may be ascending to a
prominent position in California where she is
expected to be appointed to statewide office.
She is apparently a lawyer, illegally in our
state, and a “Dreamer.” Dreamers are golden,
at least here. As a lifelong Cali resident who is
a legal resident, one of my “dreams” is to get
a better deal than the illegals. Nice chance, eh?
Steyn asked the lawyer Leopold if he had
a problem with Mateo, an illegal immigrant,
becoming a lawyer in America --- being she
was here criminally. Nope, said the apologist
Leopold, who encapsulated the idiocy of some
of (not all) of the elite lefties: “She represents
the best and the brightest of the Dreamers.”
A criminal now becoming a legal eagle in
the Sanctuary State. Can’t make this (stuff)
up, folks. •
