Purrrfect Companions
Shallot Boots
Every second of every minute of every day, a
helpless animal is put to death just because no
one was there to take them home. Give them
a second chance for love when you adopt one
of these precious kitties. You can also check
out their friends on our website – www.kittenrescue.

Rumble is a sweet young boy who has a
purr that becomes a rumble when he’s content.
Angel face, cute meow, soft fur, playful
attitude and smelling like butterscotch, there
isn’t much he doesn’t offer. Rumble was left
behind when his family moved and he desperately
wants a new forever home. He needs to
be the only male cat in the household, and he
doesn’t like dogs. Rumble has a quiet voice
when he talks and likes to sit next to you for
pets. He’s playful and sweet and loves kisses
too! Getting love is number one for this guy!
Gus Gus and his brother Jack Jack are
almost identical…identically cute, that is. Gus
Gus was so cute they named him twice. Jack
Jack is his twin brother (except for that cute
little lock of white on his chest). He is also
slightly smaller, but every bit as handsome.
Sweet and playful, the boys are both so perfect
and would make an excellent pair of kittens.
They don’t have to be adopted together, but
they each do need to have a cat or kitten in
their new homes. If you don’t already have
one, we can recommend one of their feline
friends here at the Adoption Center where Gus
Gus and Jack Jack live.
Boots is an interesting character. She was
in a home with someone until she was seven
years old and was then returned to Kitten
Rescue when her human decided to move to
a building that didn’t take pets. It was a very
upsetting event for Boots. She hissed and
growled at everyone and for a long time we
thought she hated other cats too. Boots initially
bonded very strongly with one of our caretakers.
Recently, she has taken to others and is able
to be out and about with the other cats at the
sanctuary, but she is still not very happy that
they exist. Boots would love to have her own
home again, ideally with a person who will
take the time to let her adjust to a new home
that preferably has no other cats.
Shallot is a very affectionate and hilariously
playful little guy who is always up for some fun.
He purrs to the touch and loves to get scooped

up for hugs and kisses. If you’re looking for
a comical little muppet that’s always getting
himself into a twist but also has a warm, cuddly
side, Shallot is a purr-fect match for you. He is
a leader of the pack-type personality, but not
overly dominant with his buddies. This energetic
boy integrates with new cats easily and loves to
play hard with everyone. Since he is young and
playful, Shallot will need to be adopted with
a buddy or placed into a home with a friendly
companion pet. He is friends with Provolone.
Provolone is a very sweet, snuggly little
boy who loves to bury his face in your chest
and be showered with hugs and kisses. He has
an incredibly soft, downy coat with a swirly
classic tabby pattern. He can be a little shy at
times, but will climb in your lap or snuggle into
any spot where he can be up against you to
enjoy time together. Provolone has a wonderful
personality, is very gentle and non-dominant
with other animals, and finds a way to blend
well and engage with everyone. Provolone
has tested positive for FIV, but we suspect he
was just exposed to antibodies and will test
negative soon. This playful little guy needs to
be adopted with a buddy (consider Shallot) or
into a home with a playful companion.
These cats and kittens are available for adoption
through Kitten Rescue, one of the largest
cat rescue groups in Southern California. All
our kitties are spayed/neutered, microchipped,
tested for FeLV and FIV, dewormed and current
on their vaccinations. For additional information
