sends it to Contractor. If the contract is not
executed within fourteen (14) days, the City
reserves the unilateral right to cancel it.
4) If any provision of the contract is violated,
the City, after suitable notice, may cancel the
contract and make arrangements to have
the services performed by others. Any extra
cost to the City will be paid by the Contractor.
5) Request for Bid (RFB) may be obtained
from the Inglewood Purchasing Division located
on the 8th Floor of Inglewood City Hall. Please

6) All bids must be for specific amounts. Any
attempt to qualify prices with an ‘escalation
clause’ or any other method of making a price
variable, is unacceptable. Bids shall be valid for

7) The City reserves the right to add or
subtract quantities and/or services based on
the unit prices/unit lump sums so indicated as
its budgetary needs may require.

The City of Inglewood provides water services
to approximately 85,000 customers through
15,700 service connections within its service
area of 7.2 square miles. The remaining
customers are serviced by the Golden State
Water Company or Cal America Water Company.
The City service area is divided into
three pressure zones for elevation differences
that vary from 60 to 247 feet above sea level.
The City’s water production system consists
of four active wells and the Water Treatment
Plant. The City provides approximately 8,982
acre-feet of potable water to its customers
every year. Of the 8,982 acre-feet of potable
water served, 3,400 acre-feet are produced by
City wells, and 5,582 acre-feet are purchased
from the Metropolitan Water District via West
Basin Municipal Water District (WBMWD). In
addition, from WBMWD, City provides 686
acre-feet of recycled water to a few particular
customers: Inglewood Cemetery and Hollywood
Park, and City facilities.
The State of California Urban Water Management
Planning Act of 1983 (Act) requires
urban water suppliers servicing 3,000 or more
connections or supplying more than 3,000
acre-feet of water annually to submit a Urban

declares that each local government shall adopt
a UWMP to help the State in implementing
the plan and protect the interest of the people,
business sector, and the economic climate.
UWMPs are prepared by urban water suppliers
every five years. These plans support the
suppliers’ long-term resource planning to ensure
that adequate water supplies are available to
meet existing and future water needs.
• Within UWMPs, urban water suppliers must:
• Assess the reliability of water sources over
a 20-year planning time frame
• Describe demand management measures
and water shortage contingency plans
• Report progress toward meeting a targeted
20 percent reduction in per-capita (per-person)
urban water consumption by the year 2020
• Discuss the use and planned use of
recycled water
Adopting the UWMP is required for the City
to be eligible for State grants, loans, and
assistance. City submitted its first UWMP to
Department of Water Resources (DWR) in
1985, and updated plans were submitted in
1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, and 2015.
Pursuant to the Act, the City Council will
consider public comments received, and any
comments received will be noted in the final
document to be filed with DWR.

THE PETITION FOR PROBATE requests that
RAMON YOUNG be appointed as personal
representative to administer the estate of the
decedent.
THE PETITION requests authority to administer
the estate under the Independent Administration
of Estates Act. (This authority will allow the personal
representative to take many actions without
obtaining court approval. Before taking certain
very important actions, however, the personal
representative will be required to give notice to
interested persons unless they have waived
notice or consented to the proposed action.)
The independent administration authority will
be granted unless an interested person files an
objection to the petition and shows good cause
why the court should not grant the authority.

IF YOU OBJECT to the granting of the petition,
you should appear at the hearing and state
your objections or file written objections with the
court before the hearing. Your appearance may
be in person or by your attorney.
IF YOU ARE A CREDITOR or a contingent
creditor of the decedent, you must file your claim
with the court and mail a copy to the personal
representative appointed by the court within the
later of either (1) four months from the date of
first issuance of letters to a general personal
representative, as defined in section 58(b) of
the California Probate Code, or (2) 60 days
from the date of mailing or personal delivery
to you of a notice under section 9052 of the
California Probate Code.
Other California statutes and legal authority
may affect your rights as a creditor. You may
want to consult with an attorney knowledgeable
in California law.
YOU MAY EXAMINE the file kept by the
court. If you are a person interested in the
estate, you may file with the court a Request
for Special Notice (form DE-154) of the filing of
an inventory and appraisal of estate assets or of
any petition or account as provided in Probate
Code section 1250. A Request for Special
Notice form is available from the court clerk.
