Huber’s Hiccups from page 2
That does not mean that we are all the same.
We are different and face different challenges.
God is much greater than any virus or riot or
protest or political fight. Martin Luther King,
Jr. would have pointed us to the greater love
that our Savior Jesus had for us all and that
we share by loving one another. Yes, change
is good if it brings us closer to one another
and closer to our God. Contrary to what our
media wants to portray, I know a great majority
of Americans still believe in these rock solid
values and virtues. I look forward to the time
when I can get back to writing about stupid
stuff. After standing up to salute our flag and
reminding others of what we fight for, we
all can have a cold one and relax. God is in
control. He wants us to enjoy our freedoms
and to serve Him and our neighbors. God bless
you, my loyal readers. God bless America!
Fathers – Fireworks – Facemasks
– Fourth of July
It was good to celebrate fathers. Fathers are
essential. My father was a pastor, so when he
spoke it was like God speaking to me. Those who
honor their father and mother are promised a long
life. There are way too many illegal fireworks
going off in Hawthorne, all June long. Every
year it’s the same old thing. No respect for
others, take no personal responsibility. “If you
can get away with it, why not?”, is their mentality.
Gotta remember to take a facemask if I want
to go any where indoors these days in CA. It’s
tough to wear a mask for an hour during worship
service on Sundays. It is better than Facebook
Live or Zoom. The Fourth of July holiday will
be different this year. I think it might mean
more to me. Whenever our beliefs are challenged
we are more conscience of what we have and
what we would miss if we lost our rights. This
country has seen a lot in its history. We have
seen maybe too much in the first half of 2020.
Let’s hope and pray the second half will be
full of peace and tranquility, I kind of doubt
it will be. Look for the good, live a life of
gratitude, relax and have a cold one.
