other cats and would enjoy feline friends in
her new home. At the end of the day, she
likes to curl up next to you to take a nap
and would be a happy lap cat. It would be
ideal if Jenny was adopted into a home with
another young cat to be her pal. She would
be very lonely and mischievous by herself.
These kitties are available for adoption
through Kitten Rescue, one of the largest
cat rescue groups in Southern California.
All our kitties are spayed/neutered, microchipped,
tested for FeLV and FIV, dewormed
and current on their vaccinations. For additional

Saving one animal won’t change the
world, but the world will surely change for
that animal. •
Purrrfect Companions
Give one of these kitties a second chance
for a lifetime of love when you adopt a pet
without a partner.
Snickerdoodle is the perfect kitten. He
is so sweet, affectionate, cuddly, and has a
laid-back personality. He will fall asleep in
your arms, likes to follow you around the
house, and purrs as soon as you pet him or
pick him up. Snickerdoodle is a long and
lithe little tiger and will probably grow up to
be a very big, but lean kitty. He gets along
with all the adult cats in his foster home
and of course loves his brothers and sister.
He loves to play with all kinds of toys and
especially likes to hang out on a tall kitty
tree. At the end of long day, Snickerdoodle
will happily cuddle and fall asleep with you.
Ariel has a beauty spot, lovely gold eyes
and a sweet personality to boot. This girl
enjoys toys and playing with her siblings
and the other kitties at the sanctuary. Ariel
and her family were brought into rescue
from one of the city shelters. She has fun
following the caretakers around and helping
them with their tasks. When she is not doing
that, Ariel entertains everyone with her antics.
Ariel’s ideal home would be with one of
her siblings or another friendly kitty, as she
loves to snuggle and sleep with other kitties.
Sophie is a sweet young cat. She needs a
home where she can be the only pet, as she
is afraid of other animals. She takes a little
while to warm up…but once she knows you,
she’s an absolute doll who loves to have her
belly rubbed. It doesn’t take long to fall in
love with her. Sophie would be ideal with
someone who is a big animal lover and will
give her the love and patience she needs to
feel safe and relaxed in her new home.
Make a date to meet Bianca and Vivia!
These two seal-point Siamese girls are perfect
playmates. They are always grooming
each other and cuddling together. Vivia is an
adorable balance of sweet and social. She’s a
total “people kitten” who purrs like crazy and
is one of the happiest little kittens around.
Bianca, with the darker face, is gentle and
loves people holding her. She loves to play
and is a total purr machine whenever she is
around people. Bianca also is the biggest
of the litter and quite a fan of the all-youcan
eat buffets currently being served by her
foster momma.
Looks? Check! Personality? Check! Casper
is the total package. This darling boy offers
you both tons of affection and entertainment.
Casper is a very energetic and playful kitten.
He can play-wrestle and chase for hours with
his siblings and foster kitty friends. Casper
would love to be adopted with his siblings
Cocoa and Karla. If three kittens are too
much for you, he also gets along well with
Sugar Bear and Honey Bear. If you already
have a young, playful kitty at home, he can
happily bond with them. Casper cannot be
an only kitty.
Jenny is a kitten with a very sweet personality
who loves to be pet and cuddled. She is a
very easygoing kitten who will let everyone
pet her. Jenny is also very curious and loves
to explore her environment. She really likes

need to pump as much resources as we can
into this ideal.”
Myers added that he takes pride in the
number of Black and Latino homeowners in
the city. He said his is a grass-roots campaign,
going door-to-door and speaking to residents
face-to-face. He feels that he will be elected
by residents and locals who believe in the
dream. No large developers or corporations
are being sought as contributors. “As we see
it, we have failing schools miles from a $2.9
billion stadium,” Myers said. “The mindset is
to donate jerseys, but not infrastructure. We
see the money, but don’t think it’s getting to
the youth. It’s disheartening.”
The incumbent Butts was first elected mayor
of Inglewood in 2010 and re-elected in 2014
with an 84 percent vote. He is a veteran in
law enforcement and public safety, having
served as chief of police in Inglewood and in
Santa Monica.
Butts simply noted that his results speak for
themselves. “In four short years, we have done
what it took three mega-cities a generation to
do,” he said, referring to the unprecedented
development boom in the city. “Our total
perception and brand has changed.” Butts then
ticked off a list of super events slated over the
next 10 years. Inglewood will host the Olympic
Games in 2028.
The biggest challenge, Butts emphasized,
will be to manage all the development and
events coming to town. “Right now we are
an embryo compared to what we will be,”
he said. He added that he is certain he is the
right man for that job. “We need someone who
understands the implications and can integrate
and blend all those factors to the benefit of our
residents. We need to make sure the residents
participate in the economic increase, in jobs
and housing values.”
The two remaining candidates, Marc T. Little
and Joseph Soto did not respond to phone
calls for an interview. Soto, a businessman and
insurance broker, has run a previous mayoral
campaign. Little, an attorney and pastor, has a
longstanding affiliation with the historic Faithful
Central Bible Church and the Inglewood
Airport Area Chamber of Commerce.
