What Can I Say?
There are times in life when we are at
a loss for words. We may be afraid to say
anything out of fear of hurting the person.
Recently a friend let me know that they
had been diagnosed with cancer. What a
frightening diagnoses. We can never really
anticipate what a life changing message that
can be. We ask the doctor what the treatment
is. We read about the odds of beating it.
But, we can’t really know how our friend or
neighbor feels unless it happens to us. Words
can never really communicate our feelings.
I always try to keep it simple. I try to speak
sincerely and really just convey my concern
and love for a friend. I let them know that
they are in my prayers and thoughts as
they go through this terrible ordeal. God is
ultimately in charge. We may be at a lose
for words, but we trust that God knows our
prayers and will answer our prayers, maybe
not the way we want them to be answered.
He knows what is best for us. We put our
trust in the great physician. Sometimes
our language can never communicate our
deepest emotions.
Announcement Coming?
I’ll try any trick to keep you 14 loyal readers
reading this stuff. Some of you must not
have much of a life for you to get excited to
hear what my big, forthcoming, announcement
is. Several of you emailed me to tell me that
you’re anxiously waiting. Sometimes the
anticipation is better than reality. Just relax
awhile, I have set the bar low so I will keep
it low and that way I may not disappoint.
Like always just relax and have a cold one,
life is too short to get too anxious.
