During the May 14 Hawthorne City Council meeting, a special proclamation was presented to Julia Lemus de Solares in honor of her 105th birthday. Julia has been a resident in Hawthorne since the 1980s.

granddaughter was diagnosed bipolar for which
she took medication. The female subject had
barricaded herself in an upstairs bedroom and
was yelling that she wanted to kill herself.
