George Pelzman Retires
After 60 Years
Hired by Hughes on November 17, 1958
after his graduation from Illinois Institute of
Technology, George drove his 1952 Mercury
convertible from Chicago to California to
begin his career in Electrical Engineering.
After residing in Manhattan Beach for one
year, he has made El Segundo his home
since 1959. With company changes over
the years from Hughes to GM Delco to
Boeing to L3 Communications, George
continued to remain a dedicated employee
for the past 60 years. We would like to
congratulate George on his retirement and
a job well done! •
Obituaries
Henry Stan Wianecki
He went on to get a Bachelor’s degree
from UCLA in 1976 and a Masters degree
from Arizona State University in 1978. Henry
married his wife Joni in 1980. Henry enjoyed
a 36 year career with Chevron
Oil Refinery. Henry loved
his family, waterskiing, and
some good crawfish. Henry
is survived by his wife of
38 years, Joni, his daughters
Kari [Nick], Jana, and
Krista, his granddaughters,
Addison and Olivia, his siblings
Stan [Jenny], Louise
[Bill], and Joe, and his 7
nieces and 4 nephews. Henry
will be forever remembered
for his thoughtfulness and
putting family first.
A funeral service will be held at
St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Saturday
Dec. 22nd, at 11:00 AM. •

passing after a two and a
half year battle with cancer.
He passed away peacefully
at home, surrounded by his
family on December 11,
2018. Henry was born to
Rita and Stan Wianecki in
Santa Monica, California on
June 22, 1954. Henry was
raised in Venice where he graduated
from Venice High in 1972.
