EL SEGUNDO HERALD September 17, 2015 Page 15 you blame me? I was lost and on my own for I don’t know how long. Then I got picked up and taken to an overcrowded, noisy shelter where I didn’t know a soul. I’m was a filthy, matted mess, and had no idea what was going to happen to me. Who wouldn’t be terrified? After I was rescued I had a makeover, which transformed me into the stunning fellow you see today. I get along well with other dogs and my foster family says that I am a sweet, gentle boy who has a great personality and I constantly give kisses. A bit on the large size, about 26 pounds, I would be a perfect addition to a family who is looking for a midsize schnauzer or perhaps a “small standard.” If you are interested in Rerun, please email info@msfr.org for more information. Hi, I’m Marcie! If you’re looking for a sweet, petite gal to give you lots of love, and be your very best friend, here I am. I was rescued from a LA county shelter where I ended up after I somehow got lost. I’m a playful, two-year old, Miniature Schnauzer mix but we’re not sure what the “mix” is. The general consensus is I could be a Schnauzer/Yorkie mix because I’m just a tiny, ten pound little lady. Whatever my lineage, folks agree that I am cute as a button. Although I get along splendidly with other dogs, my real passion is people and I’m known to be a bit of a cuddle bug. If you come to adoptions you can see for yourself how very special I am. If you are interested in Marcie, please email info@ msfr.org for more information. Can anyone please explain to me, Lucy, why someone would surrender his or her five-year old, female, purebred Miniature Schnauzer to a LA county shelter? No one seems to know why my previous owner did just that. I’m quiet, well behaved and I get along fine with other dogs, so what was the problem? I had someone who was going to Rerun is a mid-size schnauzer who needs a loving home. We are looking for volunteers to help with our pet adoption fairs which are held every Saturday at the Petco located at 537 N. Pacific Coast Highway Redondo Beach 90277, from noon-3: 30 p.m. If you are interested in volunteering and can commit to at least one Saturday a month, please contact us at info@msfr.org. You can also visit all of our Miniature Schnauzers & Friends rescues at the adoption fair or check out our website, www.msfr.org. If you have any questions about a particular dog’s availability you can email us at info@msfr.org. Schnauzers! Bet you can’t adopt just one! They call me Rerun because I’m looking for my family – again! I’m a two-year old, male, purebred Miniature Schnauzer who was rescued from a LA area shelter. That was an experience I won’t soon forget. In fact, I was deemed “rescue only” because I nipped at a shelter worker. It was only because I was so stressed out that I forgot my manners! Can adopt me but they never showed up and the folks at MSFR rescued me. I’m not very big, only 19 pounds and I’m rather unique being a low, (with shorter legs) compact gal who would love to have a forever family of her very own to love and share life’s adventures. Please come to adoptions to see for yourself what a great gal I am! If you are interested in Lucy, please email info@msfr.org for more information. My name is Schroeder and I’m a five-year old, male, purebred Miniature Schnauzer. I was rescued from a LA county shelter where I ended up after getting lost. The shelter has me listed as a Scottish Terrier because I was such a mess. I was matted and extremely filthy – a real pigpen. No one would have ever guessed that once I was cleaned up, a handsome Schnauzer with a glistening white coat would emerge! I’m kind of a low-key guy who likes to socialize with dogs and most people. At 22 pounds I am a bit on the larger side but you know that just means there’s more of me to love! If would like to meet me, please come to adoptions and I’ll bet you’ll want to take me home. If you are interested in Schroeder, please email info@ msfr.org for more information. • Wowser Schnauzers Marcie is a little girl who loves people. Winnie has a new mom to cuddle and love. Happy Tails Congratulations to Winnie and her new Mom! Winnie is our special needs, senior gal who was rescued from the Downey shelter more than a year ago. Winnie has IBD, which is controlled by an Rx diet, and she has some separation anxiety. Winnie’s Mom, a MSFR previous adopter, has adopted two other special needs dogs. Sadly, both dogs are now gone and Winnie is currently an only dog. Being an only dog and having a Mom who’s home most of the time is like winning the doggie lottery for Winnie! Wishing them both lots of adventures. • Schroeder is low-key and likes to socialize. Lucy is quiet and well-behaved.
