EL SEGUNDO HERALD July 16, 2015 Page 19 Zelda needs the perfect person to help her overcome her skittishness. email info@msfr.org for more information. They call me Sylvester and I’m a very unique 14-pound, 1.5-year old male Schnauzer/ Poodle/Lhasa mix.   I was rescued from a LA county shelter where I was brought in as a stray.  Shelter life wasn’t much fun so I decided to keep quiet and mind my own business. That’s probably why I was passed up - folks thought I was too shy. Since arriving at my foster home my true personality has emerged and I have warmed up nicely to my foster folks. I’m very affectionate and I get along great with other dogs, however, I really am more in tune with people.   I have the classic black and silver Schnauzer coloring, a coat the texture of a Poodle and the Lhasa underbite, which gives me an adorable smile. If you’re interested in Sylvester please email Pippi has found a new home and a new sister to love. Wowser Schnauzers coat is growing back nicely. Due to years of neglect, 21 teeth had to be extracted and they found foxtails in my mouth that also had to be removed. According to my senior screen, I’m in great health, only weighing 16 pounds and am pretty spry for a mature lady. I get along great with other dogs and I have been told that I’m extremely sweet. I’m a quiet, housebroken, affectionate little lady who would be the perfect addition to your family. If you are interested in Greta please Sylvester is a Schnauzer/Poodle/Lhasa mix. Greta is sweet, affectionate, and housebroken. Happy Tails Congratulations to Pippi Longstockings and her new family. Pippi is our little girl whose untrimmed “bat ears” resembled pigtails. She is now living with her new Mom, Dad and, MSFR 2012 Alumni, Dusty Rose (previously named Gloria). When the two girls met at adoptions it was instant bonding and it’s like they have been sisters forever. Wishing everyone a lifetime of fun and happiness. • We are looking for volunteers to help with our pet adoption fairs which are held every Saturday at the Petco located at 537 N. If you have any questions about a particular dog’s availability you can email us at info@msfr.org. Schnauzers! Bet you can’t adopt just one! Hello. My name is Greta and I’m not just any eight-year-old female purebred Miniature Schnauzer who was rescued from a LA county shelter. I’m very special because I was rescued in honor of Mr. Murphy. Murphy is the MSFR’s founders beloved Schnauzer who went to Rainbow Bridge on June 16th. Our stories are very similar. Like Murphy, I spent considerable time at the shelter and neither my owner nor an interested adopter for Murphy ever showed up to take us home. I was a huge mess when I was rescued – matted so badly I had to be stripped down from head to toes but my Slater is loyal and very friendly. info@msfr.org for more information. Hello, I’m Zelda and I was rescued from an Inland Empire Shelter. I’m a one-year-old femae Miniature Schnauzer/Poodle mix who, due to my lack of socialization, was very skittish. When rescued, I was so matted that it was difficult to identify what was under the mess. Although my makeover has given me some confidence and I’ve made huge strides in restoring trust I’m still looking for a patient and gentle adopter who will help me adjust. I find that I feel most comfortable when sitting in the shelter of a human lap so I think I would do well in a home with a stable dog as a sibling who could “show me the ropes”. If you are interested in Zelda, please email info@msfr.org for more information. Hi! My name is Slater and I’m a oneyear old male Miniature Schnauzer/Poodle mix who is 13 pounds of fun. I was rescued from a LA county shelter where they called me a stray. That is one scary place so is it any wonder that I was very frightened and skittish when the MSFR folks rescued me? Once I realized I wasn’t going back there, I could truly be my endearing self with my foster family. I’m still a little suspicious of new folks so it would be best for me to have a patient owner who is willing to give me time to earn my trust. Once I know I can trust you, watch out! You’ll never find a more loyal, affectionate guy who loves to play - even with other dogs. If you are interested in Slater, please email info@msfr. org for more information. •
