Page 2 May 28, 2015 EL SEGUNDO HERALD William Roger Clarke William Roger Clarke, 80, passed away on May 18. Bill was born March 2, 1935, in Washington D.C. At 6 weeks old, moved across county to find “home” in California, across the street from what turned out to be his friend for life, Roy Smith. Bill attended St. Ambrose Catholic School, Fairfax and Hollywood High School. He was a paratrooper in the U.S. Army, stationed in Japan. Bill got his start in the electrical field from Al Berg at BergElectric. He started as an apprentice and went straight up to Vice President. Bill was a very accomplished and well-respected electrical contractor. He later went on to open CLARKELECTRIC and, in his later years, became a consultant for numerous electrical contractors throughout L.A. Bill lived many happy years in the home he built in Malibu. He also spent time on the Sunny C Ranch in Cayucos, enjoying the Cowboy life. In 1993, Bill met the love of his life Jacque and they married in 2000. Bill and Jacque moved to Marina Del Rey and built their home in El Segundo. Bill and Jacque were inseparable, they were truly soul mates, sharing the same thoughts, same humor, same love of life, even finishing each other sentences. They were one and Bill, along with his entire family, felt blessed every day to have Jacque in his life. Bill was a natural athlete, he enjoyed all things outdoors, but his love was for the ocean. Surfing, diving, fishing, long ocean cruises and sunsets spent with his wife Jacque, Volleyball at San Onofre, happy hour on Gary Horne’s boat -- as long as he was close to ocean, Bill was happy. He was also known for his stories. No one could tell a story like Bill. You could hear him tell the same story many times and enjoy each and every version. He was hard working, honest, loyal, dedicated and could accomplish things others wouldn’t even attempt. Bill was a staunch conservative and enthusiastic political debater. According to family and friends, Bill’s charisma drew people to him and his wonderful sense of humor served him well. He was respected by all who met and worked for him. In addition to his wife Jacque, Bill is survived by his sisters Alice Moriarty (Jim), Louise Clarke Stone, son David Clarke, daughter Pamela Clarke-Brindley (Randy), Grandchildren Amanda and Scott Dunton,  2 Great-grand Children, numerous Nephews and friends, all of whom will miss him more than words can say. In lieu of flowers Bill requested “you not vote for Hillary” and any donations can be made to the NRA in his honor. A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the California Yacht Club (CYC) in Marina Del Rey on Saturday June 13th. • Obituaries Police Reports Monday, May 18, 2015 An online petty theft report was taken at 1412 hours on 05/08/15 from the 2100 block of East Grand Avenue.  Taken was a passport A dead body report was taken at 0315 hours from the 700 block of Virginia Street.  An elderly male passed away at his residence An online identity theft report was taken at 1740 hours on 05/14/15 from the 600 block of West Imperial Avenue.
