Recirculated Partial Draft EIR Review Period: May 23, 2019 through 5:00 pm July 8, 2019
The City of El Segundo (City) has completed the preparation of a Recirculated Partial Draft Environmental Impact
Report (RPDEIR) (SCH# 2017011055) for Continental Grand Campus Specific Plan, summarized below. The
RPDEIR has been prepared in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), as amended,
and the State CEQA Guidelines for Implementation of CEQA.
Background: A Draft EIR was released on September 21, 2017 for the Continental Grand Campus Specific Plan,
and the comment period was extended to December 6, 2017 in response to a request for additional time to review
the Draft EIR. The City determined that as a result of comments received, additional analyses were necessary to
address comments related to the Traffic Study and the health risk assessment. The purpose of the RPDEIR is to
recirculate for public review the revisions to portions of the Draft EIR to address the comments that would result
in additional new information that warrants review by the public and/or that results in potentially significant impacts
that were not previously disclosed. The RPDEIR incorporates revisions to the following sections of the EIR: a)
Revised Section 3.0, Basis for Cumulative Analyses; b) Revised Section 4.B, Air Quality; and, c) Revised Section
4.J, Transportation and Circulation. The RPDEIR, Draft EIR, and supporting documents can be accessed online
at: www.elsegundo.org/depts/planningsafety/planning
Comments: The City encourages public agencies, service providers, and members of the general public to review
and comment on this document. In accordance with CEQA Guidelines Section 15088.5(f)(2), the City requests
that reviewers limit their comments to the revised portions of the RPDEIR as the City need only respond to
comments on the portions of the EIR that are being recirculated. Please submit your written comments to Eduardo
Schonborn at 350 Main St., El Segundo, CA 90245, or via email at eschonborn@elsegundo.org
Public Hearings: Public notice will be provided of all future Planning Commission and City Council meetings.
