Katie says, “We get a lot of really darling kittens.” This year, Katie wrote 99 letters for senior citizens to receive on Valentine’s Day. These were delivered to the Salvation Army. Katie is a dedicated student and person. Katie is kind to everyone, and she is always helpful whenever anybody needs it. She is a link crew leader and helps the freshman feel welcomed to the school. As a link crew leader, Katie helps the freshmen make their transition to high school as pleasurable and fun as possible, considering the difficulty and stress that can be brought up upon switching into this large school. They orchestrate activities to help the freshmen to make friends and help them become more accustomed to the school. As you can see, Katie excels. Given all of her accomplishments, it is no surprise that Katie is college bound- she has already committed to her number one university, New Mexico State! She will be attending on a Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) scholarship. She earned this because she is a Californian resident and has maintained grades above a 3.0 through out high school. She will be majoring in communication studies. She wants to be involved in the management side of the entertainment industry, possibly as an agent. It is really nice to see a dedicated young college-bound woman of character achieve.
