while both were taking advantage of travel
and work opportunities. Seyferth’s escapade
from the Los Angeles area to London covered
about 5,400+ miles; the Australian Crouch had
undertaken a sojourn of more than 10,000+
miles. Shannon and Daniel later embarked on
a three-year globe-trotting adventure, which
involved forays into 21 countries, including
Greece, Australia, and portions of Southeast
Asia, with various other stops in Europe.
After the couple sated their wanderlust ambitions,
they initially settled in the Los Angeles
area, finally landing in El Segundo nine years
ago, and began a family that includes a trio
of young boys, Kaden (8), Kelly (5), and
River (3), who joined team Crouch after their
parents settled in-town, and Daniel established
Crouch Construction.
Daniel, who grew up about an hour north of
Sydney, in the picturesque beach area of the
country’s central coast, is a general contractor
who has successfully shepherded construction
projects in the Los Angeles area, the South
Bay, and in-town, where Shannon said, Crouch
Construction is currently pinpointing its business
outreach efforts. Crouch Construction’s local
efforts include “a new build” on the corner of
Sierra and Palm, as well as on Center Street.
The business specializes in new construction,
room additions, kitchen and bathroom remodels,
window installation, and flooring, and full
renovations of the home or place of business.
Susan Puffer is one of Crouch Constructions’
very satisfied clients. The long-time El
Segundo resident, who has a home on Center
Street, emailed that “I am so thankful I chose
Crouch Construction for my first complete
home remodel. I cannot imagine working with
anyone else during the start of the pandemic
and all the uncertainty it brought. Being a
first-time homeowner, it was very reassuring
to have someone reliable with whom to work.”
“From my business travels to Australia, I fell
in love with their design,” continued Puffer. “I
am incorporating Aussie Coastal elements into
my home, so when I found out Daniel was
Australian, it was a bonus. Daniel understood
my vision from the start and is very thorough,
patient, honest, pleasant, and just plain fun.
His attention to detail and quality of work
are exceptional. I knew I wanted a contractor
who worked on the project as well rather
than just oversee, and Daniel has proven to
be just that. He is an expert at every stage of
the build, from the framing to the carpentry
to even helping with the plumbing and design
when needed. He and his wife, Shannon, are
a great team, and they have the best people
working for them. I will definitely be using
Crouch Construction for future projects and
referring them to family and friends.”
Kim Nicol and husband Scot have referred
a substantial amount of business to Crouch
Construction, as well as playing with Shannon
and Daniel in the pre-pandemic El Segundo
Rec Park softball league: “The Crouch family
are simply good people,” emailed Kim. “Not
only are they completely invested in making
our community a better place, but Daniel
and Shannon are committed to evolving their
business to function at its highest potential.”
“Sometimes contractors can be very hard to
communicate with,” Kim said. “This is not the
case with Daniel. Daniel is fantastic at communicating
with his clients. He is patient and a
total perfectionist, so his projects always come
out on top. Shannon does not just contribute
to the business, but she also contributes to our
community. She is one of the founders of the
South Bay Chapter of Moms Demand Action and
volunteers a ton to help make our community
Crouch family hiking. We do a lot of hiking since COVID.
