The Torrance Police Department’s Community Affairs department was represented by Christina Szczypkowski and Kelli McCarthy.. Furey, USBA Founder Aurelio Mattucci and Scott Fellows from Critics Choice that provided catering for the day’s event. Cecilia Chavez and her daughter Rianna showcased their Halo Photo Booth services for party, corporate and other event rentals. Lynn Robinson and Mary Jo Kohlmiller from the Torrance Rose Float Association were present at the Expo to publicize this year’s float entry which represents the city’s 61st year in the Rose Parade. First and Second Place winners stay leaders of the pack. The Unified Small Business Alliance (USBA) held their 2nd annual Community Expo on November 18 at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center’s Toyota Meeting Hall located at 3330 Civic Center Drive in Torrance. Over 50 tables sponsored by small business owners from the South Bay displayed their products and services to 500-plus guests who attended the day-long event. Several elected officials participated including State Assemblyman David Hadley, Torrance Mayor Patrick J. Furey, Torrance Councilman Tim Goodrich, Councilman Mike Griffiths, Councilman Geoff Rizzo, Councilman Kurt Weideman and Torrance City Clerk Rebecca Poirier.
