The names recognized were inscribed on a scroll of remembrance now on display with the Light Up a Life tree at the hospital’s West Tower lobby for the holiday season. Funds raised from the event support the Torrance Memorial’s Hospice programs and assist those who cannot afford hospice care. Services include medications, equipment and skilled nursing care, bereavement and spiritual counseling. • Sugar Plum Lauren Ortega of the San Pedro City Ballet performs an excerpt from “The Nutcracker.” The San Pedro City Ballet was accompanied by Palos Verdes Peninsula High School Symphonic Orchestra. Angels from the San Pedro City Ballet, Emily Rupp and Tiger Lilly Estrada, greet guests. Nova members Michael Lazarus and Natalie Wong illuminate the Light Up a Life Tree. Each light represents a life remembered. The tree is now on display in the Torrance Memorial West Tower lobby. Each light illuminated represents a life remembered.
