The 11.5-mile extension will connect Pasadena to Azusa and make stops in the cities of Arcadia, Monrovia, Duarte, and Irwindale along the way. To learn more, visit metro.net/safety. metro.net @metrolosangeles losangelesmetro Torrance Education Foundation Awards $25,000 Grants to Teachers Torrance Education Foundation (TEF) today announced it has made $25,500 in grants for STEM related learning projects at Torrance Unified School District (TUSD) schools through its second round of STEM Initiative Grant Awards. Thirty projects in District elementary, middle and high schools will take place in the 2015-2016 Academic Year. Lead teachers for each project have this week received the grant awards through special access accounts at Torrance Unified School District (TUSD). Funds will be used to purchase materials and supplies for participatory projects focused on science, technology, engineering and/or mathematics, and for competition entry fees. Torrance Teachers Win at LG Bake-Off Edison Elementary School’s Beth Gregorian, Victor Elementary School’s Amanda Leyland, and Hickory Elementary’s Janet Campfield celebrate their wins at the LG Bake-Off, held November 14th. The ‘For the Love of Baking’ competition donated $5,000 to the respective winners’ schools. Claudia and Estela support their mother Yuli Moll at this year’s Senior Holiday Arts & Crafts sale.
