Dancing has been shown in studies to be an effective form of therapy for cancer patients as it improves well-being and self-esteem, which helps to boost immunity.  Torrance Memorial Medical Center recently became the first medical center in the South Bay Breast cancer survivors and Tory Blasek and Adrienne Slaughter. Photo by Christina House. to offer Digital Breast Tomosyntheses (DBT) or 3D Mammography technology, for detecting early stage breast cancers in women with radiographically dense breast tissue. DBT makes it possible to detect early stage tumors previously undetectable with 2D mammography alone. This is critical for those with dense breast tissue because their breast cancer risk it three times higher than those with lower density tissue.
