YMCA Honors Donors at Appreciation Dinner On Thursday, June 10, the Torrance- South Bay YMCA welcomed nearly 100 generous supporters to our 12th Annual Donor Appreciation Reception.  In attendance were prominent members of our premier giving groups. The important work of the Y – strengthening community by addressing our most pressing needs – could not be accomplished without the thoughtful involvement of these individuals, companies and foundations.
The evening was hosted at the beautiful Palos Verdes Estates home of Ellen and Pat Theodora.  Guests were entertained by a rousing rendition of “Let It Go” by our youth Glee Club members.
The Y’s Executive Director, Bob Shafer, noted of the event, “It’s always a pleasure and a privilege to show our gratitude to this special group of close friends.  Their investment in our YMCA is a reflection of their shared commitment to nurturing our youth, encouraging health and well being, and promoting social responsibility.  We are extremely grateful for their leadership in strengthening our community.”
