TORRANCE TRIBUNE June 19, 2014 Page 11 Happy Tails We are looking for volunteers to help with our Saturday pet adoption events which are held at the Petco located at 537 N. Pacific Coast Highway Redondo Beach 90277. If you are interested in volunteering and can commit to at least one Saturday a month, please contact us at info@msfr.org My name is Kayle and so far I’ve had a most interesting life. I’m a 3-year old, female, purebred Miniature Schnauzer. My previous owner, who was in trouble with animal control for having too many dogs, surrendered me to MSFR. Those great folks took me in even though I was VERY pregnant. I had excellent care and had a litter of five darling pups on March 30th. All of my kids have homes awaiting them but now I am looking for a loving, stable, forever home. I’ve lost most of my “baby” weight, am back to 17 pounds and would make a fabulous companion. I get along splendidly with other dogs but also appreciate peace and quiet time. If you are interested in Kayle, please email info@msfr. org for more information. Please let me introduce myself. I’m Tabitha, a very sweet, 5-year old, female Miniature Schnauzer. I was rescued from an overcrowded LA city shelter where I was considered a stray. The shelter listed me as a Standard Schnauzer, but everyone now thinks that I am a Miniature Schnauzer with perhaps a touch of Wheaten Terrier, which may account for my lovely, cream-colored coat. I weigh about 18 pounds but I am a calm, quiet girl who loves everyone. You must come see for yourself what a truly adorable young lady I am. If you are interested in Tabitha, please email info@msfr.org for more information. They call me Gladys but if you’d like, you can rename me when you make me your best friend. I was rescued from an overcrowded LA city shelter where I was brought in as a stray.  Then to make matters worse, when my previous owner was contacted – thanks to my microchip – sadly, they didn’t reclaim me. I’m a 5-year year old, purebred, female Miniature Schnauzer with a natural – undocked - tail. I must admit that my coat’s a bit thin right now which is caused by flea allergies. Now that I’m getting some good nutrition and those pesky critters are gone, my coat will be beautiful in no time! I weigh about 14 pounds so I’m not a very big gal. If you are interested in Gladys, please email info@ msfr.org for more information. If you’ve never seen a male Catahoula Leopard Dog mix pup you must come see me. My name is Earl. I’m 5.5 months old and quite a handsome guy. Based on my current weight of 30 pounds, I will probably be 50-60 pounds when I’m fully grown. I was rescued from a crowded LA County shelter where I came in as a stray. Like most large breed puppies, I am pounds of play, curiosity, energy and affection...plus a few ounces of common sense! I am very intelligent and have lots of potential. I am already crate-trained, virtually housebroken and I have no obnoxious habits. I have begun a basic training program and am ideal for an adopter who welcomes the opportunity to shape a pup into an adult dog to be proud of. I am a determined youngster who figures out what I am supposed to do a lot quicker than I actually do it, so my adopter should be aware that obedience training is a must. That Wowser Schnauzers Earl is a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix – a big, exuberant boy! Avery has a happy new home with a schnauzer-loving family. Congratulations to Avery, our Downey shelter rescue from mid May, and his new family. Avery is living in Cypress and has an 8-year old Miniature Schnauzer sister. His new folks are long time schnauzer lovers who lost their 16.5-year old schnauzer last year. We wish all of you a world of happiness! If you have any questions about a particular dog’s availability you can email us at  info@msfr.org. Please visit all of our Miniature Schnauzers & Friends rescues at the adoptions fair held every Saturday from noon-3:30 p.m. or check out our website, www.msfr.org. Our adoptions fairs take place at Petco, 537 N. Pacific Coast Highway, Redondo Beach, California. Schnauzers! Bet you can’t adopt just one! • Kayle is a purebred miniature schnauzer who needs a loving owner. Tabitha is a schnauzer mix who was rescued from an LA City shelter. Gladys is another rescue dog who needs someone to care for her. said, large-breed puppy experience is a big plus. I am an excellent choice for an active family; like other working breeds Catahoulas are happiest when kept busy. If you would like to meet Earl, please email  emread@ verizon.net for more information. • When you adopt a “pet without a partner,” you will forever make a difference in their life and they are sure to make a difference in yours.
